Seeing as I’m awaiting the delivery of faster chips I thought i’d get on with designing and printing the case for the Lynx recreation.

This is the test print of the top used to refine any issues. Printed in brown as it uses about a 1/4 of a reel of filament & not enough grey left.
Needs tweaking.

I definitely need one of those. Not the tank tread but the block and tackle.

Just look at this beauty! Few machines look as gorgeous as my Dragon 32. Why not come and see her in action in person at this year's DragonFest in Cambridge!! Come on! You NEED to have more 6809 and 6847 awesomeness in your retro life!

What witchcraft is this?! A long lost prototype? a re-imagined Dragon for the 21st century? Well, I'm not going to tell you. All I can say is that it's not mine (although I WANT IT) and you'll have to come to the Dragon Meetup on SUNDAY to find out - www.computinghistory.org.uk/det/76704/Dr...

Had a bit of an accident and dropped the Dragon causing it to split so had to build up with filler again. It's now a little bulkier in the top half but more rigid and should be less prone to cracking if the case flexes.
I have had to stop work on the project as I have run out of time but it will be

3D printed spacer with the Dragon Data logo.

3D printed spacer with the Dragon Data logo.

Spacer fitted in the space but needs some fettling to fit better.

Spacer fitted in the space but needs some fettling to fit better.

Added the spacer between the drives. As there are no straight lines on this thing every piece of plastic has to be cut and shaped for it to fit perfectly. You can see the gap underneath the spacer, it's the correct height but inside the case the plastic is domed. Time to get filing!

At last! PCBWay have delivered, so I can crack on with some projects. First up, it's the new version of the SIDKick Pico based on the RP2350 (heart of the RPi Pico 2).

These boards worked first time. Love the simplified programming design. Time to give it a thorough test.

Finally a cardboard mock up of how I'm going to finish the case posterior. Someone suggested pop and lock latches to hide the drives but I want to put a CRT on top.

I'm playing around with broken computer cases again and this time it's the turn of this damaged Dragon 32. Taken about 20mm off the height.

Building a Lazarustorm board for the Amiga A500 and Pistorm
Building a Lazarustorm board for the Amiga A500 and Pistorm YouTube video by Stephen Usher

Do you have an Amiga A500 and want to play with acceleration but don't want to permanently modify your machine (other than maybe one jumper)?

Just fit a PiStorm to the expansion connector using a Lazarustorm board then.

In my latest video I build a board. Not difficult.
