Yeah guess not!
Should I get it for my Mac?
Heard folks on #KUT talking about the Texas Book Festival and all the tents for different kinds of books. There’s a History tent, Biography tent, Memoir tent. Those are the Past Tents. And there’s a Sci Fi tent, Transhumanism tent, and somehow Kurzweil got his own ten? Those are the Future Tents.
Cheer Up's needs some help on rent! Or perhaps face closure. www.gofundme.com/f/help-cheer... #austin
I can't help it, I always read his name as "Broadsnax"
Highest demand day of the year in Texas, first time over 83,000 megawatts. Solar again providing a consistent, reliable 30% of demand; wind and solar combined are at ~50%. Plenty of extra power available, prices are low. No conservation alerts necessary. #txlege #txenergy
This is incredible
Sometimes I think about DIYing a lil sidewalk in front of my place but I think it would just come across as passive aggressive
If it’s short! Otherwise, edit that thang
Looks like the new Statesman website is live today. 6 months for 99 cents. And a whooooole lotta ads.

Fuck this. I will be stopping by BookWoman — one of the country's oldest feminist bookstores, which is amazingly a few blocks from my house — and getting a book or three this week.
NEW: Texas Governor Greg Abbott has vetoed a bill to outlaw THC products in the state.
Austinites: milk cartons, disposable coffee cups, etc should now be recycled!

the lesson of this isn't that tucker carlson is actually good but that you should ask these people basic factual questions instead of bullshit about politics
My statement on recent protests against ICE raids. "Dear Austin Community, The local protests last night were a powerful demonstration of solidarity with immigrants across the nation, including those in Los Angeles, where peaceful demonstrations were met with the deployment of the U.S. military. There is growing recognition that ICE raids are driven by racism, xenophobia, and a systemic disregard for human rights. People have the right to speak out against injustice, and I remain committed to protecting First Amendment rights. Silencing protest through military force is a violation of the Constitution. This is a dark time in our nation’s history. Please take time to educate yourself on your rights and check in with your neighbors. In service, Council Member Krista Laine"

The #Austin housing market is cooling down. Houses have even lost value for the first time in a long time.
Sounds good to me.

🚨Under the deceptive A-F ratings released by Governor Greg Abbott‘s Agency the # of failing TX schools went ⬆️ 240% in 1 yr.
Courts had blocked these grades for being unjust, but the all-Abbott appointed 15th Court reversed.
It’s rigged from top to bottom.
I didn't expect to see a photo of my work in a Glasstire article but here we are.
Perfect for a health insurance customer support line
What are the #Austin #urbanist takes on that Park and Ride proposal at 38th and Guadalupe? Seems like it doesn't make sense to build, but at the same time, I don't want to be a Hyde Park nimby...
Anybody know where Jamaican Gold went? KOOP’s got “Roots Train” on now, still holding down the dub and reggae. But where’s Art Baker? koop.org/program/jama... #austin
I still like Mastodon better than this place. Wish more of you were over there.
