I told my mom her birthday was also national spandex day and without missing a beat she said "National spandex day is a real thing? Seems like a bit of a stretch."

One of the best things about 3-D printing is waking up and finding out that something you printed for daaaaays came out perfectly lol

Have you been planning to eat cottage cheese for lunch all day?

They vary kinda widely based on size, complexity, and production type... but if this helps:

- The base sculpt 3D models usually run $250-$350

Once I have that we can make it a few ways...

- 3D printing flat to paint
- 3D print in color
- Wood carve and finish or paint

This one was about $1250

I used diluted kilz tinted with Golden Soflat paints for the color washes, and just a water based poly to seal the whole thing.

I'm kinda thrilled (and a bit surprised) that this paneled sun shade I carved for the outdoor cooktop has survived the elements for three years and is none the worse for wear ^_^

I mean I have some permanent limits on how much I can lift with the replacements, but I can still work to failure with 45 pounds... and I can scratch my back and reach things on shelves and put my hands behind my head again... so, worth it :)

I'm genuinely surprised by how good Pragmata is so far.

I think GenX just kinda woke up surprised to be old one day and said "Oh shit, I guess we missed it. we should should probably throw our support behind the millennials because we can barely tolerate the boomers long enough to get through thanksgiving dinner as it is."

Cuz they want everyone's world to stay as shitty as theirs, and they gotta try to drop a deuce on anything that feels like it offers a hint of hope, progress, or change.

I definitely prefer games where everyone gets to cross the finish line.

Wait which part of the post is negative because I think he's great?

They never... really say where they came from. Only that he took them in and raised them.

I really try not to let myself get too wrapped up in body culture (as evidenced by my fat ass), but I have to be honest that I'm *hoping* I can at least rebuild a LITTLE lat spread now that my shoulders are fixed... you know... as a treat.

I'm certainly rooting for him to do good things and set an example that is good enough for others to follow.

Just a tip that you might not have guessed: it's not the *best* idea to mix mortar and pour concrete in your office.

I love how everyone is acting like Zohran Mamdani talking in Mario Kart metaphors is somehow unbelievable. He's 34... you know bro has a ride or die favorite Pokemon type and is up to his eyeballs in debt to Timmy and Tommy.

I dunno if it's "okay" yet but it sure is boring to constantly hear everyone talking about it instead of actually making art.

It's kind of interesting how people talk about billions of dollars like a drop in the bucket and throw around numbers in the hundreds of millions of dollars casually... but if most folks got hit with a random $3,000 expense it would be anything from "a huge inconvenience" to "devastating".

When I was a kid, my grandmother only ever gave us cooked applesauce... so I was a teenager before I even realized it didn't need to be (and was not normally) cooked. She cooked it with butter and cinnamon and brown sugar and basically turned it into apple pie filling.

Yes I am fat.

Yeah I've been just kinda... fine the whole time. Nothing slow or stuck or even... "feelable" - just all works like new. I mean I'm being careful and keeping it squishy and well-chewed, but honestly I wouldn't even know I had surgery.
