Back in the dark ages when I got my test done, I had to go to sleep study place and get all wired up to about 30 sensors taped all over me and then had to try to sleep in a place knowing I was being watched all night on video and audio by stangers.
I just replaced the 7 yr old hose on the old one and replaced the mask as well. I resisted getting a test for a few years, then my wife threatened to murder me in my sleep because SHE wasn't sleeping because of my snoring. Nowadays, the test is easy, the send you a ring to wear at night.
