Same. As a high school teacher, my students used to really enjoy the challenge of writing a sonnet and now it has to be so locked down and done in class because many students will just AI it. It was hardly even graded but just for the joy of language. It’s so sad

My concern is that if he wins he’s going to immediately run for president so we won’t even have a governor.

How do I turn it off in Google slides? It’s making me batshit crazy

It’s really hard to know if he’s a “well meaning” guy or just completely power hungry. The only reason anyone knows his name is because he’s been able to personally find his own presidential and gubernatorial campaigns.

Yes, I feel the same.

Yes but you mentioned that you were leaning toward Steyer and I think he has the same issue of connection to oil money but in a much larger scale. I mean yes it was years ago but he still lives in a bubble of obscene wealth.

I like Becerra and I think he would bring experience and a progressive agenda to the job.
The only reason we even know Steyer’s name is that he is finding his own ad campaign.
He may be better than some but many don’t trust him and I think it could be an issue in November.

I do not agree that Becerra is offering milquetoast statements. He’s been for Medicare for All for a long time.
And I honestly cannot believe once again that people are falling for the idea that a white billionaire is going to save us.

I really don’t have any reason to trust Tom Steyer. He has no sense significant government experience and I think that’s a huge problem.

I disagree. And people without any experience can say anything.

I agree but I’m not hearing this from Becerra.

Thank you for this. I really do like him and he does seem the most experienced

This is great. Thanks.

As an English teacher, I approve this message!

My worry is that it’s going to end up being a Republican vs one of the Democrats and I think Porter would not win in that situation for various reasons (sexism would be one of them)

Great point.

Me either.

That is cool

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I am pretty stressed by this race and am leaking toward Becerra but this is good to know. What are your thoughts on Steyer? I was an absolute no on him but have been so frustrated by how badly this race has been organized.

He’s a lying POS
