I NEVER use eyelash curlers. I’m convinced my elbow will slip and I will rip off all my eyelashes or my entire eyelid.

I also do not have my ears pierced because I’m afraid I’ll rip them out…

Sometimes I like to yell things directly into my boyfriend’s crotch. I tell him that I’m talking to his sperm. He’s usually not amused by this.

Remembering how I used to say to my ex-boyfriend: “in your next relationship you will ___(fill in the blank)___,” and it used to make him really angry. He’d say “if we’re not dating with the intention of marriage, then why are we wasting our time?” Ew, gross, what are we - betrothed? No.

Sculpting some new additions for my face.

Don’t worry about me eating raw cookie dough. There wasn’t any real flour, just almond flour. No eggs either. I used vegan butter, vanilla extract, and almond creamer. Still feel gross though. 🙂 The box was so beyond expired - I wonder if they still carry this mix in stores.

Saw an ad in my neighborhood that drove me into a cookie frenzy. I had a box of TJ’s almond flour vegan/GF cookie mix (expired in 2022) in the pantry. So, I made it (ate 50% raw). I baked the rest into 6 glorious chocolate chip cookies. Mission success, I feel gross and don’t want any more cookies!

I mean, vocals are great! No offense to singers. I sing backups sometimes, and I love doing vocals. I think what bothers me is people assuming that women are only capable of singing, and not playing an instrument. Like presuming a woman who works in a hospital must be a nurse, but not a surgeon.

I always say that sexism has gone underground. They’re not overtly grabbing asses anymore (although that happens too). Modern sexism’s message to women is: “it’s weird that you’re here.” It’s now a gentle hand pushing you away, saying “you don’t belong in here with us.”

As a woman in a male dominated industry, my favorite micro-aggression is when I tell people I’m a musician for a living, and they immediately assume I’m a singer. This happens probably 5-6 times a year. “Oh you play in a band? You must be the singer!” Nope, I am not. Women play instruments too. 🤷🏼‍♀️

So stoked our KEXP live comes out in April. Playing a live show in front of a packed house, knowing that it would be streamed on the air, and then pressed directly to vinyl… I can’t even tell you the level of pressure I felt! This is definitely one of my biggest musical accomplishments to date.

Very excited to be an official artist at SXSW this year. I love Austin so much. I can’t wait to spend a week there. Wish I could stay longer.

I did three 1000 piece puzzles on my own last week. Only one of them had all 1000 pieces. I think I developed a pretty good system for completing them efficiently. I should really go pro.
