Hello ZachBussey, The Canada Revenue Agency introduced a new Digital Platform Reporting Regulation that requires certain digital platforms, including Twitch, to report information to the Canadian government regarding earnings generated by monetizing users. At Twitch, this concerns all monetizing streamers (Affiliates and Partners) who reside in Canada. To fulfill this requirement as a monetizing streamer, you need to complete the Canada Tax Interview before December 31, 2025. You may be subject to a penalty assessed by the Canada Revenue Agency if you fail to provide the information requested. We strongly recommend completing it as soon as possible, it should take only about 5 minutes. Complete the Canada Tax Interview Note: You must be logged in to Twitch on a desktop browser to complete the Canada Tax Interview. What happens if you don't complete the Canada Tax Interview: You may be subject to a penalty fee imposed by the Canada Revenue Agency for failing to comply.
For my fellow Canadians, if you received this email (or a notification on Twitch), you should do it at your earliest convenience. It will ask to verify your tax details and social insurance number.
