I liked Evolution and The Ice Tower so was interested to watch Earwig. It's very much a mood piece and, like Evolution, is set in its own world. I was wondering if there might be a seasonal theme linking the films. Earwig - autumn, Evolution - summer, The Ice Tower - winter?

Last four watched: Saboteur, Speaking Parts, The Adjuster and Earwig.
#LastFourWatched for this week's #LetterboxdFriday.
Creepy fifth columnists, two of Atom Egoyan's enigmatic early films and a haunting, kafkaesque horror. Egoyan and HadΕΎihaliloviΔ's films were challenging yet lingered in my mind long after the credits rolled.
Another last four watched: Oasis of Fear, Stateline Motel, The Last Sacrifice and Pee-Wee's Big Adventure.
Managed to watch another four films this week. Pee-Wee's Big Adventure was a first time-watch and I'm now a fan of this joyfully surreal movie.
Last four watched: They Live in the Grey, Altered States, Sam Was Here and Deathstalker.
#LastFourWatched for this week's #LetterboxdFriday.
Deathstalker was a lot of fun and Altered States is wild!
Definitely one of the best films I've seen this year.
Last four watched: The Dig, Train Dreams, Frankenstein and Wake Up Dead Man.
Train Dreams is stunning and was the best of this week's #LastFourWatched for #LetterboxdFriday.
Last four watched: The Nanny, Prince of the City, Exotica and One False Move.
Another great #LastFourWatched for this week's #LetterboxdFriday.
A psychological thriller from Hammer, an epic examination of police corruption, a puzzle box of obsession and grief and a stunning neo-noir.
I agree Fade to Black starts slow and is uneven in places. However, I liked the overall weirdness of the film. It reminded me of George Romero's Martin although I think Martin is the better film.
Last four watched: Smooth Talk, From Beyond, Dial M for Murder and Fade to Black.
A great #LastFourWatched for #LetterboxdFriday. A Hitchcock classic, gloopy cosmic horror, a meta-horror film and a coming of age tale that takes a sinister turn.
Thanks @adduvall84.bsky.social for recommending Dial M for Murder.
I forgot about Rear Window!
It's been a long time since I've watched Dial M for Murder. I can't remember much about it, so it's definitely due for a rewatch!
There are so many amazing films. Very difficult to choose a favourite, but Vertigo is definitely up there. Psycho, Rope, The Birds and North by Northwest are also fantastic. I also really like I Confess. What are your favourites?
I didn't know anything about Robert Hossein so they were completely new to me. They're visually very stylish and interesting. The Taste of Violence was my favourite. I'd definite seek out more of his films. Have you see any of his films?
Last four watched: Vertigo, The Taste of Violence, Nude in a White Car and The Wicked Go to Hell.
Discovering the films of Robert Hossein and rewatching one of Hitchcock's best for this week's #LetterboxdFriday.

Definitely! I enjoy it more each time I see it.
Last four watched: Together, The Old Dark House, When Words Collide and Libido.
#LastFourWatched for this week's #LetterboxdFriday includes body horror, comedy horror, sci-fi disaster and a proto-giallo.
I hadn't seen WOTW for a long time and it was a favourite of mine growing up along with Invaders from Mars. It mostly holds up although I'm not sure about the ending.
TLADILA was a first-time watch and I loved it. I always assumed it was a Michael Mann film but it is very much William Friedkin!
Last four watched: Iphigenia, The Lady Gambles, The War of the Worlds, To Live and Die in L.A.
#LastFourWatched for #LetterboxdFriday
The final film of the Universal Noir #2 box set plus Greek tragedy, classic 50s sci-fi and 80s neo-noir.
Last four watched: Poltergeist, An Act of Murder, Silent Night, Deadly Night 4 and 5.
This week's #LastFourWatched for #LetterboxdFriday.
Working through Indicator's Universal Noir #2 box set, although many of the films seem closer to melodrama than noir to me.
Finally caught up with Silent Night, Deadly Night 3-5. These are completely bonkers!
I can always rewatch Poltergeist!
Last four watched: The Birds, What Have You Done to Solange?, Singapore and The Reptile
Hitchcock, giallo, noir and Hammer horror for this week's #LetterboxdFriday.

This week's #LetterboxdFriday ends #JanuaryGiallo with two of Argento's most stylish films. Completing my #LastFourWatched are a chilly modern fairy tale and a brutal atomic age noir.
#LastFourWatched for #LetterboxdFriday. An Arthurian legend, the first two Argento giallos and a masterpiece from Resnais.
#JanuaryGiallo
Last four watched: Godland, Seven Blood Stained Orchids, 20th Century Women and Battleship Potemkin.
#LastFourWatched for this week's #LetterboxdFriday.
Battleship Potemkin was a first-time watch and lived up to its reputation. I've seen Godland and 20th Century Women multiple times. Both films are superb and continue to resonate. Also, trying to watch at least one film for #JanuaryGiallo!
Last four watched: The Psychic, Lady on a Train, Je T'Aime, Je T'Aime and Tenebre.
#LastFourWatched for #LetterboxdFriday.
Je T'Aime, Je T'Aime is incredible and a first-time watch for me. Also revisiting some of my favourite giallo films since it's #JanuaryGiallo!
The in-camera effects are amazing. I saw La Belle et la BΓͺte years ago and remember it being just as visually striking. Probably due for a rewatch soon!
Last four watched: Orpheus, The House With Laughing Windows, Hanussen and Colonel Redl.
First #LetterboxdFriday of 2026! #LastFourWatched.
Last four watched: Scars of Dracula, Fantomas, Countess Dracula and Naked Alibi.
Film noir, vampires and a masked supervillain for #LetterboxdFriday.

Last four watched: Rope, The Hitch-Hiker, The Golden Voyage of Sinbad and The Breaking Point.
Four fantastic films for this week's #LetterboxdFriday. Rope gets better with every rewatch and I think Golden Voyage might be my favourite Sinbad movie. The Hitch-Hiker and The Breaking Point were first time watches and didn't disappoint.
