Everyone at the fair loved my costume, except security. Which was hilariously on the nose

Actually the big no-no was telling some kids who came up to me to tell their parents that some people are fighting for a better world for them 😂
Thinking about that time last year when I almost got kicked out of the Renaissance Festival for wearing a peasant costume and a wooden sign saying "peasants revolt!"
Everything you wrote here is ignorant, hateful, and objectively wrong. You should mind your business
Isn’t it cool that we have to live like this just so we can sell plastic to each other in a variety of ways
COVID being mostly asymptomatic in alot of people didn’t help the dissemination of information about the true threat it poses and it still allows people to gaslight themselves about the cause of its more cruel symptom manifestations (paralysis, kidney malfunctions, strokes due to blood clots, etc.)
This genuinely made me laugh
“Findings indicate an association between acute COVID-19 rates and increased car crashes … comparable to driving under the influence of alcohol at legal limits or driving with a seizure disorder.”

The desperate campaign to push AI down our throats is just what Nestlé did with baby formula, or Monsanto with patended seeds.
Manufactured Intermediation—inserting a corporate tollbooth into a process that used to be self-sustaining, using a low initial barrier to entry to destroy the alternative.
"it will house 11 buildings and hundreds of thousands of GPUs and produce enough electricity to power New Orleans three times over"
Is "produce" a typo?
I am old enough to be the annoying mom in the family group chat who sends animal videos to everyone, but mine are all like this
We all deserve more ease. That's really it.
How am I living through all of this *gestures broadly* and still in therapy worrying about all the ways I annoy people?
Like, you all are annoying ME
I hope everyone else is also enjoying the absurdity of organizing on Signal with codenames. Sometimes it makes me hungry because it'll be like, "Hey Casserole, did you talk to Hotsauce about the calendar Beefaroni and Donuts are putting together?"
Maybe single people eat crackers, we don't know. And frankly, we don't want to know.
There’s a very honest conversation to be had about why women turn to supplements and influencers - it’s not just about being skinny or arrogant, it’s often about women’s pain and higher rate of chronic illness being ignored and underdiagnosed and most treatments being tailored to men.
Once again, the right is openly admitting that the entire focus on trans youth is to ultimately ban all gender affirming care for adults.
All the credulous reporters and institutions that helped launder this right wing project are responsible.

Me, complaining about a ME crash: "I'm so tired of being tired all the time! I have so many ideas! I want to be like leftist Leslie Knope."
Partner, laughing: "You're like Leslie Knope on the ice rink. 🎶 Get on your feet.. 🎶*
🤣🤣
We all have days like this
Long Covid has become one of the fastest-growing diagnoses in modern medicine.
“A study published in December estimated that as many as 400 million people worldwide are living with lasting consequences of a SARS-CoV-2 infection, also known as long-Covid.”
They’re still eating better than people in ICE concentration camps.
Transgender discrimination is, by its very nature, sex discrimination. Discrimination based on sex is expressly prohibited under Montana’s unique Nondiscrimination Clause––“[n]either the state nor any person, firm, corporation, or institution shall discriminate on account of . . . sex . . . .” Thus, Article II, Section 4 is unequivocal in its intolerance for discrimination based on sex. Because sex discrimination involves a fundamental right under Article II, the appropriate level of judicial review is strict scrutiny. Snetsinger, ¶ 17. ¶28 Being transgender is also a suspect class under the Equal Protection Clause of Article II, Section 4,––“[n]o person shall be denied equal protection of the law.”
MONTANA SUPREME COURT: “Transgender discrimination is, by its very nature, sex discrimination,” and is subject to strict scrutiny under the Montana Constitution.
Loving the variety of sizes represented 😂
Wait a second. The guy's real name was Paul Zaloom (Zaloom!!) and they used "Beakman"?
No one else is up and it's a silent, peaceful morning
My adhd brain: "Beakmaaaaannnnn! 🎶"
You know there’s some guy at Crocs today asking why they also haven’t become an AI company and someone is having to be like I dunno man I thought we made these stupid shoes but sure why not
I'm dealing with this as a parent of a community college student right now. A bunch of her classes have requirements to use genAI and I'm mad as hell that we're paying money for this and then she's probably going to get bad grades for refusing the AI portion.
@frogs4girls - "how long are you surviving in the apocalypse' brother i'm on 7 meds a day i'm cooked
Ombre orange tulips with droplets of rainwater on the petals
Obsessed with these tulips!
I will plant more bulbs this fall, in hopes that we get to have another spring #garden
yeah, I get where the urge to imply it's because they're weak babies comes from - because crucially, they are weak babies. but also, really cannot be overstated the extent to which we all put in the WORK (and continue to) ensuring these mfs couldn't sneeze without someone saying go fuck yourself
