Klingon therapist: the battle against mental illness cannot be won decisively. It is a long campaign against an enemy who never tires, whose forces swell to twice their size whenever you look away. Battle against a foe of such magnitude, who occupies your very mind... Every moment you survive is a triumph against all odds. There is no more honorable combat

100% of the “Man in the Arena” posts on LinkedIn are related to either dudes losing custody of their children or DWI/DUI arrests.

It’s science.

One thing you will never think after reading a great book or listening to a great album or seeing a great piece of art is, “I’m really glad this person remained cautious while they were making this and guarded against being perceived as weird.”

Again--I couldn't be a reporter or senator interviewing these assholes because all my responses would either be shouting "you STUPID STUPID RAT CREATURE!!" or throwing the heaviest piece of furniture within reach.

I just don’t know who to trust when it comes to my child’s health: their pediatrician or these garishly-bronzed, elderly pedophiles who can’t do basic math

This is a really well written article describing the multitude of factors - disease, climate, and deregulation, which has all but destroyed the industry. Sobering read, and explains why tariffs hit OJ so hard as well. We are importing almost all oranges at this point.

CDC won’t publish report showing covid shots cut likelihood of hospital visits The report, which had cleared the agency’s scientific-review process, had been delayed. It now won’t be published at all, people familiar with the decision told The Post.

Hmm, I wonder why…

I dunno, man--if Street Fighter didn't make me want to take working out more seriously, I doubt "Ratchet and Clank But Clank is a Little Blonde Girl with No Shoes On" is gonna make me want kids more.

Buying something, forgetting about it and finding it later is like its own treasure!

I know the world is terrible right now, but good things still happen and good art is still being made.

And I'm fucking tired of people pretending that they aren't.

The Masterpiece Beasts are spot-on to the animation models, but they're EXPENSIVE and when you drop that kind of coin on them, you REALLY don't want to do much with them but carefully sit them on a shelf.

The modern Kingdom ones were okay, but they didn't have the charm of the originals.

Like no lie--the retro Walmart reissue of Cheetor from a few years back is surprisingly solid. That one and the Scorponok from the same line are top tier desk toys.

Everyone else in the retro line...had issues.

Honestly, the versions of them--or any Beast character--I'm most likely to pick up and mess with?

The original vintage molds.

They're still GOOD TOYS, they got the gimmicks, the weapon storage, and they're (mostly) cheap to pick up.

Honestly, he's kind of a fiddly bitch. If you wanted one, I'd absolutely recommend getting a decent KO.

*checks the Wiki; was released in 2020*

Ah.

A reminder while Republicans bitch about Dems finishing the redistricting fight they started: they have full control of gov’t— they can pass a law banning gerrymandering any time they want. They won’t. Republicans aren’t mad gerrymandering exists; they’re mad that they’re not the only ones using it.

These people stub their toe or run out of paper towels and immediately write an OpEd bemoaning the collapse of Western Civilization and demanding that the army drown the streets in the blood of degenerates, it is so profoundly tedious.

I would submit that a gerrymander by politicians saying fuck the voters and one by voters saying fuck the politicians are two wholly different animals

No… Tucker,

you are not welcome, forgiven, excused, or given the benefit of the doubt.

You laughed on TV while children suffered and you did it for years, because the money was good.

You can rot.

I recently added a small room to the house solely for my collection--built in shelves on the walls and everything--and it still spills into other rooms.

I seriously need to purge like half of it, if just for my mental health.

I generally shy away from stuff like this, & I resisted for quite a while, but @robodontknow.bsky.social & I walked through my collection space not long ago. Apologies for the rambling, I was tired, but this gives you an idea. Spoiler alert: it's already outdated.

It Was on Your Table Every Morning Growing Up. It’s Dying Before Our Eyes. No One Wants to Face It. The powerhouse of American citrus is suffering a brutal decline. Everyone has a theory about why.

According to a fan theory, Capcom's Pragmata is secretly Japan's clever plan to fight its birth rate crisis.
You play as a spacesuit-wearing "Space Dad" protecting cute little Diana.
Their wholesome father-daughter bond is so touching that many players say the game actually makes them feel real paternal instincts and want kids.
Japan just hit a new record low with only 706,000 births in 2025, the fertility rate is still stuck around 1.2 despite billions spent on incentives.
Coincidence or genius marketing

Yet again I remind everyone (as Elizabeth does in her very next tweet) that "foreigners are corrupting our pure blood with weakness & disease" is Fascism 101. Not some variant, not some metaphorically similar thing, not some echo -- the thing itself.
