Again, I probably could have used AI for this but I like to think that screen recording me manually rotating google maps gives this the shonkiness it deserves

Today, we remember the 97 fans who went to a football match and never came home. Our thoughts are with the families, survivors, and all those affected by the Hillsborough disaster. ❤️

If the map of deaths on railways looked like this, it'd be treated as a national emergency.

We need a Heysham 3 locally.
It could be an EPR or SMR depending on who wants to build it.
We have the grid connection and a large workforce who knows the industry and safety implications.
Are you trying to make this happen?

When adjusting our clocks for British Summer Time and Greenwich Mean Time, we are always reminded by the saying "Spring forward, fall back." However, my mate Alberto is an acrobat in a circus and during his performance he sometimes springs back sometimes forward and sometimes falls forward, sometimes back. Over the years the clocks in his caravan have got so out of synch that he has a roaring fire in July and wears shorts and flip flops in January.

Reform UK said I was 'bullying' when I pointed out their colleague was jailed for beating up his former partner.

Now, they're trying to sneak him back into their party. So I'll say it again:

James McMurdock was jailed for beating up his former partner.

If petrol gets that expensive then maybe people will turn their car off when sat waiting.
Until they do them petrol isn't too expensive.

Fast-spreading measles outbreak takes hold among under-10s in north London UK Health Security Agency urges parents in Enfield to get their children vaccinated as Easter holiday travels approach

This measles outbreak in Enfield is part of a deeply worrying trend. Measles isn’t just a childhood illness, it’s a highly contagious disease that can lead to serious complications, including pneumonia, brain inflammation, long-term disability and, in rare cases, death. (1/2)

Rainbow Devils is saddened and concerned by the comments made by Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Manchester United is a football club fortunate enough to have a huge, diverse, global fan base. It doesn’t (and shouldn’t) matter what your nationality, ethnicity, faith, heritage, sexuality, sex or gender identity is - our fans come together as one to support the club we love and which has shaped our lives. For many of us, football offers a place where we can set aside our differences, feel safe, and find common ground.

In recent years, the UK has seen a huge rise in racist, anti-Semitic, Islamophobic, homophobic, and transphobic discourse and violence, partially fuelled by divisive messages in the media and by people in power. These messages are not just words - they shape and influence actions, and cause real damage to people, families and communities.

We respect Sir Jim's Ratcliffe's freedom of speech, and agree that debate on issues such as immigration policy is legitimate in a democratic society.

However, we are concerned by the language used in his recent comments on this topic, where he refers to the UK as having been ‘colonised’ by immigrants and quotes statistics that are incorrect. Our concern is that these comments could have the effect of increasing divisions, polarising debate further, and leading to real harm to minority communities in general, including many loyal Manchester United fans who are immigrants - or the descendants of immigrants - themselves.

The Rainbow Devils community stands with all other communities that reject intolerance and polarisation, and who seek to build bridges, treat each other with respect - even when we disagree - and bring society together.

This is one of my favorite optical illusions, because even when you know specifically HOW IT WORKS, it's still hard to make your brain believe it.

The image below is real-world video, but you're being tricked into believing it's an elaborate miniature by the DIORAMA EFFECT.

Let's talk about it.

@johnmanningpct.bsky.social I am taking a break from Wordle and other games as the need to complete it every day was adding to my stress levels.
I will be back soon.

As an English person looking in, what I see happening in Minnesota is absolutely shocking and disturbing to see. Glad to see that you have the principles to stand up to the tyranny that is happening in front of our eyes.
