Grief clarifies things. I care more about genuine people, good company, shared enjoyment, things worth savouring. Far less tolerance for the self-anointed experts and self-aggrandising yappers narrating their importance. If your authority depends on constant self-narration, it may be built on air.

I can't stop laughing at this post. It's perfect.

Think I just witnessed what I can only assume was a public humiliation kink in action, man strolling down the street in a sparkly headband that said “shit head” with full confidence.

Speaking of Threads, this one got me in the feels.
And yes I totally bought it because of the name only and the fact it was horror genre. So sue me.
I got ‘Bendy and the Ink Machine’ in the Switch sale. It’s peak mascot horror, clunky as hell, puzzles held together with vibes, jump scares you clock a mile off. And yet… I’m strangely into it. That warped 1930s cartoon aesthetic is doing heavy lifting. Unhinged, a bit crap but it’s oddly charming.
“Accept yourself” has become be slim (pharmaceutically assisted), smooth, ageless, filtered, curated. Expensive and homogenising. And women without the time, money or inclination are still read as the ones doing it wrong. I like that I don’t look like a cookie cutter version of everyone else.
There are some labradors that become guide dogs, detection dogs, insanely smart…then there’s Mabel who just threw a strop because she’s not allowed to steal the hot cross buns in the bakery or have any breakfast pastries..
If you like Charlie Cox, don’t let that trick you into watching his canine rom-com ‘Merv’ with Zooey Deschanel (being Zooey Deschanel). It has no rom, no com, just relentless overt product placement and existential regret. Charlie is trying, as is this t-shirt. The film however, is not.

Have been thinking of you while watching this too!
Watched Artemis II launch. I still get stupidly excited by space exploration.
Can confirm they are a lot of fun - do it
Watching sheep give birth, petting and bottle feeding lambs and giving scritches to calves on a Monday night is shamelessly wholesome and I’m goddamn here for it.
…yet.
Spent a LOT of money on a haircut by one of my fav “celebrity” alternative hairstylists this weekend too, as you do…
I keep seeing “cool” used as shorthand for low maintenance, low expectation, low visibility particularly when applied to women.
It isn’t.
If anything, it’s a quieter form of attention noticing the gaps, the silences and adjusting accordingly.
It ends up describing an ideal more than a person.
Just tell me about the cat army - this is all I want to know.
