How indeed, tho I fear that after last nights local elections here in the UK, our NHS is now in some peril. My question would be around the US being the richest country in the world, give its huge debt. Would have thought that claim would more accurately be levelled at China these days.

How can a country that is so heavily in debt claim to be the richest country in the world?

A big birthday this weekend past. Spent the day at one of my favourite places, Woolacombe, N Devon. Lunch at the Woolacombe Bay hotel, followed by a stroll along the beach in the sunshine, officially being an old fart didn’t seem so bad.

🎣 2016 Farage: “The acid test of Brexit is fishing.”
2024: 🐟 Boats docked
⚓ Trade sunk
📦 Markets lost

The test? ❌ FAILED.

Farage built a career on the sea.
Then let it sink.

What’s happening in the US is on another order of magnitude and has far reaching consequences beyond your borders. The USA is not the first country to jump into a rabbit hole, “he who is without sin” and all of that.

A cunning plan. What could possibly go wrong👍

It does go on to say that it’s the administration that’s upset, not individual citizens, unless they have a liking for red baseball caps😂. Probably not a good idea to wear one of those anywhere in Europe right now, you might get served a less than stunning meal if you are out😂

Most British hate what your government are doing, but love and respect the good American people we have met. True allies will outlast this administration.

From the outside, it’s starting to feel like you guys a fighting for your country. Scary times, love to all the decent Americans, democrats or republicans who hold true to democracy, truth and and freedom.

Laughing at the USA after they spectacularly shoot themselves in the foot is set to become the worlds favourite spectator sport of 2025. As a Brit, I particularly enjoy it as it stops the world laughing at the British for spectacularly shooting themselves in the foot with Brexit.

it wasn’t that simple, probably fairer to say rural areas with deprecation or working class areas were more likely to be brexiteers. A similar demographic to MAGA’s

It’s with market manipulation (state fraud) or the fact that the rest of the world was starting to organise to mitigate the orange one.
I’m English. No real fan of China, or the current brand of the US. That said, I really hope the Chinese give you a damn good stiffing. You voted you deserve.

And you forget that we voted for Brexit, the single most stupid thing a nation has done to itself, well, until now.

You are forgetting Liz Truss. A complete goon. Mind you, the British people didn’t elect her. That said, they did elect Boris Johnson, one of the UK’s finest purveyors of BS and an absolute chancer.

She would be amongst friends with them. I also agree with your comments regarding tariffs on digital services. From the US. I have experience of dealing with Amazon and the commissions they charge their traders, especially on FBA are eye watering.

How does it feel? You were once The land of the free. Held up as the leaders of the free world. You had the respect of the western world. What have you become? The rest of us are stunned by the speed of your fall from grace. Should we have seen this coming?

I’m a Brit. Never mind what Any of our politicians say, We hope the decent Americans are okay, but you can stick your nasty chlorinated chicken where the sun don’t shine.
