I'm really tired of auto-correct now changing the tenses of my words. I don't need 'enters' to be "corrected" to 'entered', especially when it is grammatically correct the way I typed it!
Basically.
How did this get so out of order?
...it's about getting paid and avoiding legal curfuffles, while pulling attention away from artists they dislike using the characters in perfectly legal ways. So it is imperative to keep supporting artists who (via Fair Use and Parody) have more respect for the art/purpose of these characters. 5/5
...shitposts, Donald flying a plane into [redacted], whatever, already get made. But now Disney will get paid and can yell at Sora to take things down, instead of treading into Fair Use/Parody litigation. It's not, and never has been, about the purity if the characters or creativity... 4?/?
...and as public domain reaches some of the characters it would get "worse." So Disney figures it makes sense to be paid by Sora to let people do some of it on a path of least resistance...and on a platform Disney cab yell at when something really goes off the rails... 3/?
...and sometimes Disney sues (lose money, bad press) and sometimes they don't (someone else gets money/attention). But if the masses can do that in Sora, they will. Disney probably thinks this will pull attention/support from the artists who already do it... 2/?
Uhg, so, I realized WHY why Disney did the Sora licensing deal. Obviously, people are going to make the characters do terrible things, no matter what guiderails are put on. But that's not the point - artists already draw the characters doing all sort of shit... 1/?

I've not played @adhocstudio.com 's Dispatch, only seen spattering of short vids across social media. But if your character work is so good I start to tear up when I realize [REDACTED] is going sacrifice themselves AND I UNDERSTAND WHY you've achieved an S tier level of character development.

God, yeah, I hate the word "content" for stuff I view as art. I will never apply it to someone else's work, written or visual. One should not dismiss one's own efforts as disposable to the churning of the 'algorithm relevance machine.'

Oh certainly, aleays stuff to workndofferently. I don't even think those stories are bad. It just becomes how to handle the challenge of keeping both yourself and the reader from getting confused if you do tackle the full challenge.
