Apropos of nothing, if the creator of something you cherished turns out to be a horrible person, the answer isn't to close your hearts for fear of disappointment, it's to love more. I don't really know what I want, but I am *so* tired of pretending I'm ok with the fact that he turned me down, even if he had good reasons.

I even talked to him about it and he was so nice and supportive and I value his friendship so much but GOD, I wish things were different.

Like, I *have* to be ok with that, because the alternative is trying to break them up. Which I don't want!!! His partner is great and he's treated her badly in the past. And tbh I don't even want to be in a relationship with him! He's a nightmare (affectionate), she can have him.

I've had a crush on my friend for 4 years, told him about it 1.5 years ago, was told that nothing would happen between us 10 months ago because he wants to be monogamous with his partner even though they nominally have an open relationship (i.e. she would be fine with it).

I've spent 10 months trying desperately to be ok with something that, I'm realizing this morning, I am *deeply* not ok with. And now I have to go work for 8 hours!!!

Fortunately it seems to have gotten better throughout the day. Still some real BS though

Woke up with a fever and joint pain...and it's 82F outside...I hate everything.

The pacing, the ~moments~, the very specific word choices, the sheer amount of sex- these are all things that are bog standard for fic. I know because I've read/written fics like it; it feels very familiar.

Not a criticism, btw. Just an observation. 💜

Watching Heated Rivalry with the Girls (we're on ep 4 and have to take a hiatus because SOMEONE [not me] will be away from home for a week) and it's great and we love it but- and I say this with all the love in my heart- it is soooo obvious that it started life as a fanfic.
