So in economics the steps of the career ladder are just much further apart.
Really good summary of this important paper. I wonder if the fact that papers in economics are so "big" is another contributing factor -making it more hierarchical
Its with great sadness that I have to announce that Tony Thirlwall died yesterday after a long illness. He was a great and influential economist, a valued colleague and a kind and generous man- Rest in peace
Or -how much school closures could have been avoided (by say coinciding a mini lockdown with half term autumn 2020 or not subsidising meals out)
The lesson UCU needs to learn is not how to strike but when to strike-unions can get members a bigger share of the pie but can do nothing when there is no surplus to share
