Hi, my name is Tia, I’m almost 5 years old, and I am looking for my forever home. I have only been in Canada since October 23rd, but I am adjusting to life in my foster home. I am learning how to walk up and down the stairs and my foster folks think I should conquer them in the next couple of days. I love going out for walks so I can smell all the new smells, and I am pretty good when we’re out, but I do react to squirrels. I am not used to those fluffy tailed creatures and I really want to chase them, but I am learning that I can’t chase them when on leash. I am affectionate, I love scritches and spending time with my people. I also get along well with the resident doggy in the house, even though she’s not a greyhound. She’s nice to me and I like her. I tested “cat workable” when I was in Australia, so I might be okay living with a cat, as long as appropriate introductions are done and I am given enough time to get used to living with a feline. My foster mom says I am “truly a special, sweet girl with a heart of gold.” And that I have “the most soulful eyes” and I love to be around people – being with people makes me feel more relaxed, which is true. She also says I am “going to make an absolutely lovely companion and pet” which I think is true. I know I will love whoever adopts me, will it be you?
