NAME: Tuilelaith, The Three-Eyed Tyrant
AGE: Older than you
GENDER: Female (she/her)
SPECIES: Fomorian Giant
HEIGHT: 60’

Tuilelaith hails from Fomorian royalty, a giant princess known as the Three-Eyed Tyrant. Despite being forgotten, she was once widely feared, causing terror everywhere she went during the dark ages. Her cruelty and lust for power was so extreme, she murdered her entire bloodline to usurp the throne.
This act did not remain unpunished. The rest of the Fomorian race imprisoned her deep under the ocean for her treachery, and abandoned her. Centuries later she eventually broke free.
Whatever happened between now and then, is a mystery.

Tuilelaith is sadistic and merciless. She takes great joy in causing and witnessing the suffering of others, so a fighting tournament has her most intrigued. For the most part she’s nonchalant and laidback, but violence will spark excitement within her. Through most of her royal life she was spoiled - she’s often overcome with seething rage, and becomes bored with repetition. She does what she can to manipulate things or provoke whomever she needs to get her desired outcome.

Tuile can alter her height, with the tallest reaching approx. 60ft tall, and the smallest to about 1ft. She boasts a ridiculous amount of strength regardless, with rumours of her creating the Basalt Columns that form at the cliff edge.

Her favourite place to loiter is by the beach/harbour and church grounds, mostly to intimidate Máire, or to grab a pint from the barge. She will also stalk those she has a keen interest in and lay low, watching from the shadows.

Not only is she physically strong, her senses are heightened, too. She can hear and smell things from miles away, being able to pinpoint and visualise these locations with (mostly) great accuracy.
Under her bangs hides her ultimate weapon; a large third eye. It’s stare is piercing, with it radiating a scorching heat when opened - Tuile can fire a devastating laser. She is aware of how destructive it is and constantly reminds Máire just to keep her in line. She could probably level the entire town with it.

While she has always been pale, her complexion used to be much pinker in tone, including her wings and hair. / Goat-like Eyes / She wears shorts under her dress.

…Crashes thunder can be heard, far off in the distance… Or at least, that’s what her footsteps sound like.

The princess is here. She looms over the town, her third eye glowing bright like the sun, visible to all.

She wants to be entertained…

Think you can manage that…?

Felt like making an image of the Goddess doggo bringing back the sun and some sakura petals too. Tried to remember how to emulate watercolor on digital- a bit off but liked how it came out.

Name: Labhra Ni Fearghusa
Age: She's lost count
Gender: Woman? Sure
Species: Giant
Height: A little over 7 feet

Chances are you will hear Labhra before you see her. If one were to ask her about the cannon she drags around, she'll claim she adopted it before letting a guffaw boom to the walls.

Otherwise, She can often be seen putting her massive strength to use lugging lumber and masonry for the sisyphean maintenance of the buildings.

Though happy to see newcomers, she's quieter regarding the tournament.

Labhra isn't much of a combatant. She'll focus on intimidation with her cannon and her axe. The giant hits hard but tires out quickly.

Ultimately, the axe is a tool, the cannon a noisemaker.

The Craic & Cúr
Labhra's pride and joy, this seaside pub is a great place for some R&R and perhaps some snacks and stews.
You'll know she's there if the barnacles are below sea level.

Usually distributes beer. Labhra can whip you up a cocktail, just not the one you ask for; it'll be what she deems appropriate for your character.

Labhra's very aware of how she towers over the others and has grown comfortable with it, helping herself to whatever may be in her reach and protecting tourney attendants from the whims of faeries.

All that's known of her past that she's come from beyond the sea. She's been stranded here ever since, trying to make the very most of her stay.

If one doesn’t wander far from the port or even outside town’s walls, Labhra will be a common sight. At her floating pub, some derelict ruin, or the beach, all Ms. Ni Fearghusa needs is a quick shout if you require any muscle.

Illustrations of a forest in a foggy dark setting. The first image is a foggy area with a deer in the centre, framed by trees. The second has illustrations of certain things you will find in the forest.

"Despite first impressions, Caoin's dense fog hides a wide variety of flora. Familiar or otherwise, best to treat them with caution."

"Pick with care -- not all flora are what they seem."

"RAZOR IVY -- Just one example of the strange things that live inhabit the forest. Growing in fractals, some say the vines go on endlessly. True or not, the cuts from its leaves will if not treated immediately."

"Mosses, stalks, those with eyes to see will notice many a species believed to be extinct for centuries."

"From hazel to honeysuckle, the forest's bounty are an exception that prove the rule."

"Your excursion will have landmarks but make no mistake -- the only thing awaiting you is town or worse."

The last image is of the town walls on the outside, with trees seen around it.

The forest weaves in and out of the walls of the town. Thick trees further obscure the environment and makes it harder for anyone to even see a way back to the normal world. Funny thing is, it seems to go on forever… And loops right back to where you started.

The town itself is falling apart; the architecture is preserved victorian buildings, but slowly but surely being reclaimed by nature, flora and vines lace through brickwork.. Fae and people still occupy the houses despite the structures crumbling.

THE TOWN WALLS

During the medieval era, these walls were built to keep out intruding forces… Now reclaimed by nature, still acting as a deterrent to this day, with the Dullahan standing guard to keep anyone who discovers them out… Until now.

The cliffside is formed by Basalt Columns, huge hexagonal stone columns that act as a staircase for the giantess lurking in the sea. It is thought that she formed them herself in a rage. (2/2)

A dreary, dangerous place. It sits just outside the city walls, nestled between land and ocean. Tall, mossy trees lurch over the water like fingers gripping a prize. Any unlucky enough to travel through its depths will note that the paths and river ways wind and twist like a maze.

Cu Sidhe

A hound usually the size of a small horse, with a coat of black or green fur and curly tails. The Cu Sidhe are harbingers of death, but nowadays roam the town without said obligations.
They are capable of striking those who hear them bark three times with such terror, they would die from the shock, but currently only use singular barks to ward off intruders from the church grounds during the tournament.

Banshees

Banshees dwell in the forest and town,
unable to truly rest as the felines hunt for their souls. They are often mourning their lost kin, and with the
added stress, usually very irritable.
They tend to scream and howl at those who disturb them.
Usually Banshees are female, but we allow them to be found as any gender.

Cat-sìth

A fairy that takes the form of a cat, usually black
with a singular white spot on it’s chest. These
felines are known to steal the souls of the departed who have yet to leave this world. In this particular depiction, these souls are stored in their tails, which is bright and flickers like a flame.
They are easily distracted by music and dance, and tend to be caught walking on their hind legs often.

Please feel free to explore different kinds of Fae in Celtic myth! These are only examples we have provided. They are certainly not the only ones.

Name: Joseph Domhnall
Age: Young in appearance
Species: Guardian Fey
Personality: Childish in nature but oftentimes cruel towards those with a negative affinity.

Appointed magistrate within the hamlet of Caoin, Joseph resolves conflicts that get a little too out of hand within the towns limits.

A guardian fey once prayed to for protection from oncoming raiders or war parties, giving blessings to all who truly believe they're in need of it. As time passed, word spread of this use from small tribes. Warlords would abuse the boon, asking for their favor instead, leading to the demise of many innocent beings. Their form began to twist and resemble the embers of fallen villages, and as such, sought to hide from the world within Caoin to stop this abuse.

Abilities:
-Capable of providing blessings of fortitude and resilience onto others or themselves.
-Shapeshifter, but only in form, not outward appearance. Typically preferring the appearance of a young man or minotaur.

The mantle they wear does change in size to fit him comfortably, and is rarely seen apart from it.

A reference image of an Irish Druid character. There is a headshot on the top right corner, a thigh-up drawing of her holding a staff, and 3 expressions on the very right.

Name: Máire Gallagher
Age: Appears mid-late 20s
Gender: Female (She/They)
Species: Half Aos Sí/Human
Height: 5'11

Máire is a druid priestess, equipped with the ability to harness a natural magic passed down by her ancestors before her. In the past, she had to hide her true self under the guise of a nun to fit into a rapidly changing society, but now she embraces her nature to the fullest.

She acts as an overseer and protector, dedicated to preserving the town, the fae who sought refuge there, and Caoin's history within the ancient Book, whether she wants it or not. She now grows weary, trying desperately to keep the fomorian giantess at bay, who dangles Cooin's safety over her head if she doesn't hold a festival euery 7 years to honour her.

While she carries herself with grace and poise, this druid is quite irritable. Her current predicament has worn her down to the point of constant lethargy. She is quite soft spoken and monotone. She’ll try to be patient and listen to concerns, but does have a disdain for small talk. If it’s not important, she doesn’t want to hear it. She can come off as quite passive and shows subtle hints of annoyance with sarcastic remarks and the odd eye roll. She lacks enthusiasm, even when delivering delivering a sermon. It’s hard for her to crack a smile nowadays.

As overseer, she feels weighed down by the heavy responsibility, but she does genuinely care for both for the town and those in it, even those who don’t respect her authority. She will protect the sacred text with her life to keep Caoin itself from erasure, even during times where she is certain she cannot triumph.

On the right is a clear front and back view of her, as well as her staff.

Máire isn’s afraid of showing who is boss using her magic. Equipped with a knack for many types, whether it be healing or a destructive force.

She will often manipulate the abundant nature around her to their extremes to show her might, or cast fae around the town to survey where she cannot see.

Her body tires out easily after using her powers to an excessive degree.

It’s all up to your own interpretation.
