This is also a beautiful method as well! I have a texture loaded with paint strokey goodness in each channel for this specific purpose - I use it mostly for my materials in unreal, but the color tile sampler you mentioned in designer is a grand idea!

Important for contrasty boosty goodness: yoinking the curvature for the alpha in blends, and then adding it against itself, and then overlaying the result against itself makes a real nice pop on everything

My favourite thing about Substance Designer is stylizing realistic textures with the Kuwahara nodes. You have a grainy brutally realistic texture? Nah son. I'll be yoinking that and using some very pretty blends to make it *painterly* thank you very much

Also a tip for making crispier curvature (optional) when I grab smooth curvature from the normal map, I like to do a blend (overlay I think) with regular sharp curvature node. Combining the two of them gets the fine details with control over the sharpness of them, as well as the smooth c:

Thank you so much Marina ^_^! I wanted to make something genuinely useful. I found my team were using a bunch of shared assets in our blender scenes, and importing a ton of bloat! I needed a way to guarantee it got cleaned up correctly, and I'm so stoked it all worked out!

I found it so tedious deleting and redirecting assets to make sure I don't have duplicate static meshes. This is way faster, automatic, and controllable

I'd really appreciate if you bought it and gave it a try, I've been without income for over 3 months and it would mean the world to me ๐Ÿ™
