An alt version, and a throwback to the very first picture I drew of Vogel back in 2007. It's been 19 years since this image. I forgot that Vogel didn't even have horns until 2009.

Also, my new icon is good for Teacher-mode Vogel :P *wags finger*

You must now develop a strong hold on what your creative voice is, so that you know when it is being lost through new tools. And when a service with these tools offers their (fairly powerful) offline products for free as an entry point, that's a legit good way to onboard an learn your voice first.

And on the Canva AI stuff... Canva is a powerful tool for creators if you use it in a respectful way. Generative video? Eww... Auto background removal! Yes please! You gotta be smart, granular and principled with your choices and how you allow these tools to affect/modify your creative voice.

Since Affinity updated to just one free software for pixel, vector and layout, I'm finding it much more attractive to work with over bouncing around Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign separately. I recommend it just for making my independent professional creativity easier and less mentally taxing.
