We are disappointed to see attempts to block this vital change by some Lords. Until the decriminalisation of abortion passes, people in England and Wales still face the threat of prosecution for ending their own pregnancies. Abortion is a human right and lifesaving healthcare.

Last night the House of Lords voted to update an archaic law created more than 100 years ago that creates fear and confusion for women at moments when compassion is needed most. We are happy that the Lords decided to pass this law through to the next stage towards decriminalising abortion.

We have joined over 80 UK organisations to write an open letter to the Prime Minister calling on the government to increase – not cut – UK international climate finance.

Acting on climate change is in everyone’s interest, it is about creating better and fairer lives for everyone.

We are deeply alarmed by the escalating military conflict in Iran and across the Middle East.

The killing and maiming of children are grave violations of children’s rights and of international law.

Children must be protected at all times. Children should never be targets.

We've joined close to 100 charities condemning the ‘devastating’ impact of last year's UK aid cuts. Undeniable proof shows that women and girls suffer the most when aid budgets are cut. The UK must stand up for the futures of women and girls around the world.

This impact will be reflected across all aid budgets including humanitarian responses. As of Feb last year, humanitarian assistance accounts for only 30p of every £100 of public spending, the lowest level in 25 years.

The cost of this is more children going without healthcare, food, and protection.

It’s deeply worrying to see misogynistic narratives go unchallenged on one of the country’s most popular podcasts.

This content taps into very real fears and anxieties that boys and men may experience, then twist them to push misogynistic ideas that ignore the challenges women face.

Just 1 in 10 girls told us they feel completely safe online.

It is up to social media companies to take action in tackling gender-based violence online.
