When I vote I choose based on whats best for the whole of our country. Another NACT1 term is definitely not it

We do seem to hv diff ideas of perfect I’d rather have Greens in govt pushing LW policies, you’d rather hv curr numpties stay in govt rather than Greens compromise at all. Low income workers, disabled, science, universities & education generally, H&S, immigrants & the environment. We’d get back supports to transition from fossil fuels. How quickly we’d get that & how much more we get is influenced by how many Green MPs we get

Yeah sadly I agree, they are centrist at best & well to the right of their beginnings. Overton window has been careening right for years. That said, in comparison to what we’re currently enduring they are a far better option. What we’d be getting is fewer attacks on Māori, Pasifika, women…

MMP isn’t perfect, I’d def favour combo MMP/STV (we’d likely get way more Green electorate MPs) but we’ve for extreme eg in USA right now of risk of not holding your nose to vote against the bigger risk cos a party doesn’t meet your expectations

UK Greens in FPP environ, v diff to MMP in way parties must wk w ea other (or not). Is v much “us v them” thing in UK so party “bottom lines” make sense. We’ve only had 1 non-coalition govt under MMP & none of us want a repeat of Covid to provide those conditions again so ultimatums don’t work here

Same! I don’t need to go to space to understand this either & constantly disappointed at framings of “us v them” for climate related issues, use of resources, immigration etc. there is no “them”. There’s just all of us (flora, fauna, fungi etc) being put at risk in pursuit of (made up) money

The coalition of chaos is absolutely intent on making schools unfriendly to Māori & Pasifika kids as poss. But pls consider what yr school is doing internally to make environment more supportive. If kids don’t fit the perfect mould are your teaching staff & SLT finding ways to support them?

Our school (suspect from quick Google is your school) was like stepping back to 1980s, more concerned w uniform than kids themselves. We’re a pakeha whānau but suspect neurodivergent kids face similar issues to Māori & Pasifika students. Everything designed for middle class neurotypical pakeha kids

Agree w all you’ve said but also was shocked when we moved to Ōtepoti few years ago how old fashioned schools are. We’d come from a school that truly wanted to keep kids engaged.
For those who were a bit lost, they wanted to keep them engaged til they made their way back to learning
