Everything is not only too expensive, it’s increasingly more so as more and more of us lose jobs with zero help once unemployment runs out. No discussion of lowering retirement age to help 50-somethings nobody’s hiring. No discussion of AI related stimulus to help new or displaced workers.

imo I think it’s this plus the atrocious job market. I‘m 51 and I’ve never seen it this bad. There’s no industry or role to pivot to that hasn’t been absolutely decimated by some combo of the funding cuts and Wall Street’s love of job destruction/“AI” with bigotry run amok in hiring/firing
