For the uninitiated, which to be fair, is a niche reference even within the show itself.

Today I bought:
Dynasty Warriors 6 for Xbox 360
An American copy of Chibi Robo
A Master System Light Gun
I have become this man.
I like adding satisfying interactions to things that probably don’t need it.
The game is “Curse of Cards”.
Yes, it does have a Steam page:

I have the Japanese version of Odama and it's probably the game that I've had to rewire my brain the most for. Really a one of a kind.
Hi! I don't think Toho has a bsky so I'll post it - my first commissioned work for all the official Godzilla channels and I handmade everything that isn't a toy. Enjoy xo
It's my favourite too; I love the puzzliness of the gambit and systems, and the bombastic soundtrack. And such an memorable leading man too!
One great reason to kill the part of you that cringes: The ability to enjoy Cave Story: A Lyrical Walkthrough.
A 21-track nerdcore concept album. A complete Cave Story walkthrough, Hell Temple included.
It is shockingly good. Has the same spirit as Knuckles' tracks from Sonic Adventure 2.
One of the most overlooked 7/10 games that I've played in years; Screw Dive is a Lode Runner-ish puzzle-platformer where you have to remove screws from floating platforms so that they fall and eliminate the enemies standing on them.
Only 7 Steam reviews too.

I initially saw it on a Nintendo Direct and did the 😬 face, but after starting it in good faith I was immediately charmed by it. It's a good one!
Only 12 reviews on Steam and by Good-Feel (Bakeru) is Monkey Barrels. Perhaps the game that's changed my mind the most from my initially poor impression of it. It's a really competent and charming top-down shooter with some imaginative stages and playfulness.

Of course - how could I forget? I used to desperately, and unsuccessfully, try to match the N64 Mag leaderboards at the time. It's a real gem.
Apropos of nothing, some N64 favourites:
Bangai-O
F-Zero X
Iggy's Reckin Balls
ISS 2000
Jet Force Gemini
Mischief Makers
Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon
Pilotwings 64
Quake II
Ridge Racer 64
Sin and Punishment
Snowboard Kids
Top Gear Rally
Wave Race 64
Wetrix
Winback: Covert Operations
I'm having a really good time with Blaze of Storm, the new STG from Terarin Games. There's a big emphasis on scoring over difficulty (I 1CCd the Hard difficulty on my second go), especially from the genuinely addictive Caravan mode - and the high score tables are thriving.
Possibly, though I wonder whether it made business sense to do so and get some stability following the pandemic. I daresay after Shadow of the Colossus and Demon's Souls it made sense but then for some reason Sony arsed things up.
I feel for anyone that loses their job but this one feels notably sharp. Utterly staggering to see an incredible asset get dumped as they have.
EA putting beloved single-player focused studio, Bioware, on a live service game that failed disastrously in 2019 was not a lesson that Sony had learned from when they allocated a live service project to beloved single-player studio, Bluepoint, in 2021.
Show me a videogame with more style than Anthem #9 manages in 45 seconds. It's got the juice!
It's one of my favourites too and I was surprised, and delighted, that this even exists. I'm not aware of how well the original sold but clearly well enough for another one.
D'you ever get a stupid idea in your head and then you can't do anything else until you get it out? 🎣
I immediately had a flashback to this once happening to me in the middle of the night except it landed on a radiator from about three feet. I had no idea what it was until I went downstairs in the morning and saw the shadow box safe and sound on top of the unit.
I accidentally bought the English PAL version forgetting that I'd bought the French one years prior and now I have two versions, one that I don't need, and I don't speak French. Thankfully I haven't forgotten five times.
Shared among my networks too. I'm rooting for you!
Wishlist my buddy's game!
I find that I don't have a lot of time to play co-op games with some of my friend group these days but the Christmas to New Year period has given me the opportunity to play the *quite good* Gauntlet - Slayer Edition. A good co-op romp for an absolute pittance.

Our Discorders answered the question, 'what if the games of 2025 were Simpsons stills?' Judge the results for yourself.
Fallout Season 2 starts tomorrow. In true insert credit fashion, we had to find out the answer to the big question on everyone's mind: What level was Lucy by the end of season 1?
Thanks to the hard work of @iantothemax.bsky.social we now have the answer, just in time for her journey to New Vegas.
Poster for Infra-Man. The art shows the red-suited tokusatsu style hero and a bunch of foes.

Cracking into the next Shawscope volume with a long-time favorite.
Shaw Brothers going with a tokusatsu style hero movie, starring Danny Lee.
It's a heck of a good time!

This is one of my favourite films, not even just Shaw Bros. If I ever need something goofy to watch or I have friends visiting that want to watch something weird then is a strong contender every time.
Thank you!
A curry bowl with the rice shaped to look like a Pikachu.
I'm by no means a presentationally fancy chef but this Pikachu* katsu curry turned out pretty good!**
*Not made with a Pikachu
