The newest additions to the household have arrived! Meet Biggie (short-haired) and Smalls (long-haired). Thank you so much to RSQ Utah for these amazing fur-children—we are in love!!
I had a thought-provoking blast as a guest on the "Comedians in Elevators" podcast (produced by Custom Comedy Corp)! Really interesting questions about the philosophies of comedy. Please go have a watch on YouTube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxUy...
I love this quote, and I love the positivity, but there's a contrarian part of my brain that revels in saying things such as "Oh yeah? Try flapping your arms and flying to the Moon!" 😅
So honored to be a part of this amazing cast and crew! I had an absolute blast narrating Edgar Allen Poe's essay "Maelzel's Chess Player" for this anthology. Please go have a listen to this and all the other volumes in this series—seriously, it's all amazing!
To all my friends and colleagues heading off to VO Atlanta: travel safe, have a frabjuous time, learn a ton, make new friends, and come home rarin' to go! Can't wait to hear all about it!
A little late to the party, but I'm thrilled, honored, and proud to be added to the Enchantress Bookish Brilliance Narrator Roster alongside so many fantastic narrators! Looking forward to making audiobook magic and bringing amazing stories to life! Thank you so much Viviana Izzo!
Had a wonderful time as a fly on the wall for today's Audiobook Narrators Assemble on Clubhouse, created and hosted by the inimitable Ana Clements and featuring the inspirational Katie Flamman. Took a break from narrating just to listen in! Thanks for a fantastic hour to all involved!
Do clones have rights? What is the nature of "art"? What is the price of having a perfect memory? Who pays the price when alien cultures collide?
I'm thrilled to announce that the audiobook of _Punktown_, which I had the privilege of narrating, is now available via Audible!
Graphic from a wonderful new audiobook-related t-shirt I got from AppleStreetWear on Etsy.
Gave a very-well-received talk last night on mass extinctions! I admit I was a little worried because the topic isn't exactly the most upbeat one, but I think I threw in enough humor. Thanks so much to the CFA and Voyager Wealth Advisors for inviting me to be a part of this season's lecture series!
Currently listening to the audiobook of _Katabasis_ by R.F. Kuang, narrated beautifully by Morag Sims with interludes by Will Watt. I love listening to audiobooks and learning from their narrators...but it's often hard to pay attention to the narration because I get so caught up in the story! 😅
Deep into the mastering process on my next audiobook: _Punktown_ by Jeffrey Thomas. I am in love with the stories in this book—enthralling and philosophical. Can't wait for this to be out in the wild!
Something to keep in mind for when you get those instances of impostor syndrome.
THANK YOU to all my VO friends & colleagues that have helped make 2025 amazing! And especial thanks to Steven Smith, Scott Johni, Nick Hershey, Jeffrey Thomas, and John Hopkinson for giving me the opportunity to bring some amazing books and stories to life! May everyone's 2026 be bright & wonderful.
My warmest holiday wishes to everyone!
Like many others I've seen posting across social media, I'm jumping ship from Firefox because of their move to become a wholly integrated AI app. Migrating everything over to @vivaldi.com presently.
Although retired from academia, I still do paleontological research. A talented graduate student & I have been trying to figure out what kind(s) of ligaments sauropod ("brontosaur") dinosaurs had to help support their long necks. The paper was just published in the journal _VAMP_!
Just want to say I'm enjoying the heck out of this show!
Today's unpronounceable word for my mouth: gritted. I either emphasize the t's and sound like I over-enunciate things, or else it's "gridded." My mouth cannot seem to find a happy medium... 😅 #voiceover #audiobooks
Now on Day 6 of what was supposed to be a 2 day project doing maintenance work on our roof. I've been unable to do much of anything in my booth with all the noise. Should be done today, though! Then I will be playing catch-up with recording and editing! #audiobooks #voiceacting
I try to be good, but the results aren't entirely satisfying... #voiceacting #audiobooks
Today's phrase that my mouth refuses to pronounce correctly: "gusts to". 😵 #voiceacting #audiobook
The current state of my recording environment. #audiobooks #voiceactor
I had the great privilege of narrating the audiobook of _Personal Injury: A Corrupt Conspiracy_ by @scottjohniauthor, and now it's been released into the world! This fast-paced action thriller is a terrific read (and, I hope, listen)! Go grab your copy on Audible and/or Amazon! #audiobook
A for me! I actually like C a lot, too, but its (by necessity) vagueness compared to A and B made me prefer it a bit less. But if I hadn't seen A or B first, I would've liked C more, probably, if that makes any sense.
It's a busy time in my booth! Auditioned for the AHAB Halloween Audition Workshop, finishing prep for an audiobook, got shortlisted for a couple of video-game roles, graduated from coaching with Sean Pratt, and more! As one of my advisors used to say, "SLEEP?!? Sleep you can get when you're dead!"
Currently in the prep phase for my next audiobook: _Stellar Origins_ by Nicholas C. Hershey. This is a fun, fast-paced book with a unique blend of sci-fi and fantasy elements, unlike anything I've read before! Pumped to be working on this! Thanks to Nick for having me on board!
