The Triangle of Madness in the crowd

The Triangle of Madness in the crowd

They were SO CLOSE and my 5yo and I got so excited, the guy next to me moved so I could take the photo. They are my BAES and I'm so happy they came into the crowd by us!!! (For me personally, this was amazing).

digital art made by me — on a dark blue background stands japanese pro wrestler, arisu endo. her ring gear is colorful; half purple animal print, and the other half zebra print with rainbow details. there are yellow, pink, and white accents, along with small patches of smiley faces and stars adorning the purple areas of her gear. her hair is a medium shade blue and lavender, with a raccoon stripe on the left, with a bit of pink and green in a few areas. she had bangs, and her bob is styled into fluffy waves. she fears a purple entrance jacket with color blocked yellow accents. her left hand is on her hip, and her right hand is brought to her ear as she smiles big. decorating the area around her is her name in pink letters, as well as purple and white lines to mimic streamers. all throughout are matching stars, hearts, and sparkles. in the bottom right corner beside her feet is my watermark, “dreamofthearcherr” with a starburst.

A scene from Hands Across America, an event I am old enough to remember, where a bunch of people hold hands along a road looking VERY early 90’s.

A dude in white pants and a blue plaid shirt is holding hands with SixArm Spider-Man (Marvel Legends 2-Pack), who’s holding hands with Sprial (Marvel Legends retro card), who’s holding hands with Goro (Storm Collectibles Mortal Kombat XI), who’s trying to hold hands with an old woman in matching red shirt and pants who can’t reach his hand, but is holding the hand of a long line of people holding hands stretching into the background.

Haaaaands across this land I barely tooooleraaaate!

RNG Vault #871/90 , from 11/21/25, was a gotcha for the Six Arm Spidey I got in the Morbius 2-pack on the suer-cheap because I love Spideys and I love bonus arms.As this pic demonstrates.

We should book a celebrity to wrestle and they just get squashed

It's apparently going to be up on Honor Club next week-ish so if you don't want to buy it. It was worth the $25 to me and I'm kinda wishing I had just gotten the two-pack, but I honestly didn't think I would be that interested in the card. 🤼‍♂️

Patch Adams

There’s something undeniably earnest about Patch Adams. It wants to melt your heart, restore your faith in humanity, and convince you that laughter is the best medicine. And sure, it mostly succeeds at being wholesome and uplifting. But let’s be honest: it also feels like a massive missed opportunity to become the most unhinged cinematic experience of all time.

First off, where is the edge? You’ve got Robin Williams radiating warmth and compassion, but the film stubbornly refuses to escalate. At no point does it even flirt with the idea of a wildly inappropriate tonal shift, say, a completely unnecessary but dramatically lit steamy romantic encounter to underline the “human connection” theme. Not explicit, just enough to make the audience go, “Wait… are we still in the same movie?” Instead, we get restraint. Tasteful restraint. Boring.

And then there’s the hospital setting, a perfect stage for chaos. Yet somehow, no one pulls a gun. Not even once. Imagine the emotional stakes if, halfway through, a tense gunfight broke out in the corridors, forcing Patch to use humor as a de-escalation tactic. That’s not just medicine, that’s cinema.

Even more baffling: zero talking animals. You’re telling me a movie obsessed with unconventional healing techniques didn’t include, at minimum, a wisecracking therapy dog who delivers sarcastic commentary on the failures of modern healthcare? Missed. Opportunity.

The absence of a Vin Diesel cameo is frankly indefensible. Picture this: Diesel shows up as a mysterious patient, says something about “family,” nods approvingly at Patch’s philosophy, and disappears. The thematic resonance writes itself.

And don’t even get me started on the lack of supernatural elements. No vampires? In a hospital movie? The symbolism is right there, immortality, blood, the ethics of care. Patch could’ve been treating a misunderstood vampire community while challenging societal prejudice. Instead, we get realism.

Finally, the film dances around big ideas but never commits to a full-blown lecture on Marxism. Imagine Patch standing in front of a room, passionately connecting healthcare inequality to class struggle. It would be wildly out of place, and therefore completely unforgettable.

In the end, I can’t help but feel a little resentful that Patch Adams insists on being its own movie instead of the chaotic masterpiece I clearly outlined. Rather than bending to my very reasonable demands for vampires, gunfights, and philosophical detours, it insists on committing to its earnest, sentimental vision. It’s disappointing, not because it fails at what it tries to do, but because it stubbornly succeeds at something I didn’t ask for, refusing to indulge in the glorious absurdity it so obviously could have embraced.

We could be discussing how the mixed trios match ruled and there should be a focus to make the trios titles mixed in the near future. 🤼
