It's crazy that it took me so long to realize that I should be getting paid for my most impressive skills (reading ridiculously fast, being way too detail oriented, and being nosy about people's personal lives but great at keeping information to myself), but medical coding hits all those marks

- but it didn't pay great and I wanted to make more money, googled something like 'jobs in medical records that pay well' and learned about MEDICAL CODING, got my certification after about a year of studying, and then transferred to my workplace's coding department 💪

Pandemic hit, got laid off from my retail job, immediately got hired at a medical call center which was awful and destroyed my mental health BUT I learned that I do love working with medical records, found a new job as a medical records tech (this is all within the space of five months), loved it-

[immediately after convo]: “I think that went well!”

[1 day later]: “wait, why did I say THAT?!”

[3 days later]: “do they hate me?”

…

[14 years later]: 🤦‍♂️

going on twitter now is like the dark world part of link to the past, where the shape of things is roughly the same only now instead of the friendly villagers there's some demihuman freak snarling at you going "welcome to the village of assholes!! we hate you!!" also the trees shoot bombs now
