Congrats, awesome work!

Sweet approach! I’ve been exploring something similar, but in a forest context where I want to connect vocal patterns with biodiversity indices. Really curious to see how your audio-visual angle unfolds, especially for grounding calls in behaviour. Great work!!

Super cool! What kind of analytics and insights are you looking for in the audio signatures?

Just handed off a few audiomoths to a forestry company for a pilot study. Kind of nervous that I didn’t set the up correctly

Another stranger here, but as a fellow PhD student I still wanna send some internet fist bumps 👊

I’m a PhD student in forest technology, using computer vision to make sense of forest operations 🌲📷. On the side, I explore the intersection of ecology, bioacoustics, and deep learning—trying to find new ways to listen to and learn from nature 🎶🌍🤖.

Super cool. Im trying out using a transformer pretrained on the Audioset dataset for feature extraction in a species detection classifier. Should definitely try the birdnet embeddings as well!

@wildbirdacoustics.bsky.social inspiring to see someone so passionate about bird recordings! Do you have any experience in using deep learning to do species identification or something similar?
