So it’s been a month and I am happy to report that ghoul kid has taken up permanent residence by their garage. And is not, in fact, a sentient wandering being. I think. *eyes neighbor’s house nervously*

I taught my kids that song when they were little and my now-in-university daughter still occasionally sings it with the sole purpose of baffling American friends 😂

Aaaaand this morning it’s gone. Off for a little wander around the neighborhood I suppose. Let’s see where it turns up. (And yes, I am weirdly invested in this!)

Either it’s haunted or it’s the neighborhood’s weirdest version of elf on the shelf!!!

Last Halloween, my neighbors put out a knee-high statue of a squatting haunted demon ghoul child. It’s been sitting outside their door since then. Last week, it moved. First to their mailbox, then to their garbage cans, now it’s on the ground by their garage.
