7 hectares for playing field is given to nature in a partnership between the RSPB local group and Worcester University at Lakeside Campus. 2 hectares are birdseed crop. I checked yesterday and considering it was mown grass 4/5 years ago the diversity and numbers of birds is quite amazing.
The Worcester & Malvern RSPB group is supporting and campaigning for this appeal.
Two RSPB group members have each pledged up to £20,000 (10k each) of match funding. So every pound you give will be doubled.
Tomorrow please come to Wildgoose, learn about our many bird conservation projects. Feeding Corn Buntings, making a 45 acre nature reserve and much more.
The Worcester & Malvern RSPB with the CRT and WEG have made and installed 3 sand martin boxes on the Severn, at Diglis, Holt and Bevere lock Islands. Check out our website for all our bird conservation projects.
