New Lyra class session started and... oh, boy. Instant ripped calluses everywhere and bruised hip bones. 😅 It's already WAY better than the first time I attempted this specific class last summer (and Sling was AMAZING for working on spin tolerance) but damn, I need to work on my grip strength.

But then I look at the game & player base (casual, cozy virtual pet w/ chill, respectful fans) and I think it will actually be okay. Way different vibes.
I'll be hyperfixating on work & my part time MSCS while ignoring the news for the next ~4 years, keeping hope alive that shit in general will improve with the next election cycle. Maybe I'm naive, but it helps keep me moving forward. 😬

When I went to get my concealed carry permit, I found it very interesting that ALL of the other folks in line looked like non-conservatives.
"I'm gonna take a session off" [from circus/aerial] somehow turned into signing up for Lyra classes for the rest of the summer. 🤷😆

I try to pick up new hobbies (sports, instruments, languages) regularly to force myself out of my comfort zone and (try to) learn how to be okay with sucking at stuff 😆
I’ve trained myself to immediately then think “no one cares” and this keeps me from posting anything overly pedantic about 87% of the time 😆

Attended downtown Kirkland’s cute little Pride event today, and the performances were super fun. Highly skilled roller skaters, a handstand artist, and one super colorful performer singing “It’s raining THEM” (a non-binary twist on the old regular). ❤️
I'm probably already on multiple registries (X gender on driver's license, diagnosed autistic) and am old, so I figure it's my job to be public about all the things. 🤷

Way to represent, Kirkland! The staging line for the No Kings march is MILES long at this point. I am pleasantly surprised.
