Yes we need more people like you and my nephews. One is an accountant, one is an electrical engineer and one just a regular guy like me. I flew down to get them from the rubble after the earthquake in Haiti in 2010 legally. We took care of them until their mother could get here legally. Very painful

It was a group of lawyers hand picked by NYC advocates for Caribbean peoples. Got them a stay of deportation and 18 is months to continue the citizenship process. There is a helluva lot of advocacy in Brooklyn

We are ok. A little light in the wallet after helping to pay immigration attorneys in NY to keep our nephews from being deported back to Haiti. All three have another 14 or 18 months to work on going from a green card to citizenship.

This is the amount of money so far that won’t ever be paid in restitution to victims because of Trump pardoning the people who were supposed to repay it. The money owed to victims was probably used to obtain a pardon!
