I hope this research can continue! My dad died of pancreatic cancer 19 years ago. When he was diagnosed finally it was so advanced he died 30 days later which was the median survival rate back then.
We lived our lives in fear!
And how about that bogo pogo!
Hahahaha I so need to rewatch this soon!
I saw someone also mention Strictly Ballroom which I adore and also haven't watched in forever and feel like I should.
One of my all-time favorites!
Legally Blonde or L. A. Story.
I think I'm do for a rewatch of them both, come to think of it.
Finally some rain has shown up!
Having grown up in Miami and now living in Austin I'll allow this.
Avery Tomasco said the rain isn't likely to hit until later this afternoon so I haven't given up hope just yet.
Coffee and a croissant.
My office (getting a slow start to my day).
Looks like a busy day at work!
My goal for today was to get to Inbox Below One Hundred.
Despite my best efforts, I'm likely going to end the day with a net gain of 28 from where I was this morning.
That is not going in the right direction!
The Queen died. Let's make it all about me!
I have two ARCs from Netgalley that I need to finish this weekend (since the books are being published next week). I'm about 60% done on one and really enjoying it. I want to keep my review % up so I can more books in the future. Also if I get an ARC from them, I should follow through with a review.
This weekend I'm going to disconnect. It's the Dewey Readathon weekend. I'm going to try to read for 24 hours over the course of the weekend. It helps a cold front is coming in tomorrow morning to make tomorrow chilly, grey and wet(ish). Perfect reading with a kitty on my lap weather!
Registration closes today! Most students have registered by now and today is an open day, so I'm using the day to look at my email inbox, which has grown to ridiculous proportions. I won't get to Inbox Zero today but if I can get to Inbox Under One Hundred, I'll be satisfied.
Listen it's going to be 90 (32C) today, so I'd say that's hot!
Oh, wait...
Worked. Then took a nap with my cat snoring on my lap. My brother texted me and woke me up from the nap. Yeah that's about it. I should probably text my brother back.
So let's see the dog and his haircut.
How ironic he delivers a message against intellectuals and universities at *checks notes* a university.
We send out a survey to our graduating seniors every year. Questions about curriculum & instructors, post grad plans, what they think of our advising services. We give them a spot to write comments. One wrote simply Clone Renee & that just made me feel so good. But also lordy yes! I need another me!
He wasn't disgusted by the Trump Jesus AI?
It took me a long time to appreciate my coloring (freckles, red hair, blue eyes) because as a kid I stood out so much. (I was also tall very early even taller than some of my teachers in Jr high.) Now that I am of an age I can appreciate what mother nature gave me.
I really hate early mornings esp when I worry about what *he* did overnight (since we all know he doesn't sleep). But this morning's sunrise was a real banger so I'll take the win where I can. Hope it's a good day for us all.
I don't love getting up at 5:30 so I am ready to drive in to work at 6:40. I'd even say I actively hate it. But this morning's sunrise was an absolute banger, so I hated it just a little less. But only this morning.
His hubris.
I'm at the point where I want to know what phone he's using to get such battery life to make all these posts all night long.
I'm sure the ACLU is already working on the lawsuit.
I love a good Downfall meme, and this one is hysterical!
