what are the patterns and anti-patterns you uncovered that make it easier to read?

designing public surface apis and contracts was always nuanced, but they're all the more important in this age of agentic coding.

if you give an agent an escape hatch, it will take it rather than use the better defined path.

bluesky has a spam problem. so many automated likes and comments

put more simply, the styles are not scoped to the localized component, it's scoped to the whole tree (including all children).

so it's not quite css modules, even though it's still a useful pattern

No commitment, honestly just looking for feedback and direction.

How you'd like that to happen is up to you. a 45 minute call where I show you the framework, or if you want to take a peek at the docs in a week or two and play with it, that works too.

Marionette! That's a throwback.

If you care deeply about web frameworks and have a lot of experience working with them, I’d be happy to walk you through my ideas and get your feedback.

It would really help me shape it while I’m still in the building and designing phase.

Shoot me a DM

would be happy to. this looks cool!

I largely agree – I think what I'm building might intrigue you 😉

my brother was deeply skeptical of this framework. he is a software engineer, but from a very different engineering background.

he finally relented and rebuilt an old website of his. we paired on it.

he was shocked that he actually really enjoyed it.

it fully clicked for him.

this is my homage to jquery, php, backbone, coffeescript, derbyjs, and of course: react

Pretty fantastical to be designing my own web framework. All of my crazy ideas from the past two decades are getting bottled up for you.

And yet what I'm most excited about is communicating these ideas. Whether or not my framework gains traction, the ideas have merit and I'm excited to share them.

I don't care about openclaw, but not being able to use custom harnesses (i.e. pi) for claude code is a huge killjoy

Imo having many streams with AI is a sniff test. If you’re doing more than 2 parallel streams, you’re actually just kicking tires.

When I’m doing my most productive work, I have one highly directed stream going.

AI writing is everywhere now and it's so tiring.

I started writing when AI came out because it became clear to me that as writing becomes commodity, authentic writing becomes deep value.

Always zig when others zag.

ngl, the new navigation api is rather sick. we're getting spoiled with browser APIs these days.
