This popular stretch of canal towpath between Bathwick Hill and Pulteney Gardens is being resurfaced – making it better for walkers, wheelers and cyclists.
We're working with Canal & River Trust to deliver the improvements, which will start on 7 April and are expected to take 11 weeks to complete.

🅿️ Ashton Way East short stay car park in Keynsham will no longer be operated by us from 1 April 2026.
It is a small, short stay car park, but don’t worry there’s still plenty of places to park in our other car parks in town.

We've completed our improvements to this pedestrian crossing in Wells Road, Bath 👍
We’ve replaced the old traffic signals which had reached the end of their life-cycle, footways have been reconstructed and widened and the road resurfaced.
We repaired 1,143 potholes across Bath & North East Somerset in February, that's 40 a day!
That brings this year’s total to 2,344 potholes repaired so far – our highest in five years.

We’ve temporarily closed St James's Parade to all traffic and are working to install two-way signals due to an unstable vault below the road.

We've completed installing this new zebra crossing in Marlborough Buildings👍
It's now safer and easier to cross between Royal Victoria Park and access nearby Royal Crescent.
These works are part of an ongoing programme bringing local active travel improvements across Bath & North East Somerset.

Councillors have agreed to further consultation with local residents about proposed changes to parking charges, including proposals to introduce charges based on vehicle size for residents’ parking permits.
