I agree that knowing one step beyond ‘words go here’ or ‘numbers go here’ would relieve a lot of that pressure. Unfortunately I haven’t figured out how to make that palatable beyond entry level staff yet.

I just had a conversation about this with a prospective webinar partner today. Provide “advanced” training of office software so ppl understand how to use templates, macros, mail merge, etc to increase efficiency with existing software functions/features. Rather than selling “AI” as the solution.

@pixelgrotto.bsky.social has a VERY keen sense for all things TTRPG, and is alongside a stacked set of contributors, so this is definitely going to be worth a watch!
Congratulations 🎉
Congratulations 🎉
My partner and I just finished watching the season tonight. This is the dark humour I didn’t know I needed during our current times.
All of which is to say, I’m looking forward to seeing and reading and trying your game! 🫶
In community we’re looking for connection and resonance, and when something is new we don’t know (and can’t know) how it’s going to land. So a related question of folks you’re already in relationship with might be, “Can I trust you (with this thing I made)?” Also a scary proposition.
One of the things I learned from a counsellor in my past (who was otherwise lousy for my situation) is that often when we put things out in the world the underlying, implied question is, “Do you like me?” Knowing that doesn’t make my feelings go away, but it does help to recontextualize them.

The progress photos are amazing. I can only imagine how spectacular it is in person. (And even untrained I can tell how detailed your work is.) I appreciate this glimpse into your process.
if you're around calgary and are going to one the busiest events of the year (as far as nerdom is concerned anyway) come say hi and let me sell you on the concept of a new TTRPG!
you don't even have to buy it!
but you could!
(perhaps even should)
((no pressure))
I love this so much for you! Community-building in action!
For ttrpg night, I guess I would distill it down to “approach with curiosity”. Being open - and even excited - about the games to be played, but in a way that leaves room for whatever the experience will be.
I also try to set myself up for success by making sure my physical needs will be covered.
Oof. That sounds rough. I don’t know that I’ve ever tried to put what I’ve learned into words… part of it is just experience and self-knowledge for me.
For example, going to cons now I know that my body can’t keep up with everything I want to do, so I set fewer goals for those events.
Amazing! Sounds like you’re having a fabulous vacation.
Never go with @dmsteve.bsky.social though since so much of it is right there without glass cases 🫵
So much armour!
I hope you had an amazing time!
🎙️ PATREON RELEASE: Where do orcs REALLY come from?
We sat down with Dr. Christopher LeCluyse, author of the upcoming book "Race & Monstrosity in Dungeons & Dragons", to trace how 2,000+ years of racialized thinking became embedded in the DNA of fantasy gaming.

This thread is too real.
Signal boost
with the MetaDungeon just launching from @rowanrookanddecard.bsky.social , maybe find out more about the original DIE RPG from an ENnie nominated podcast production playthrough? hm? hmmmm?
The thing about Spine being both the game and the physical artifact you create playing the game is that the book beckons to you when you’re supposed to be doing other things…
Happy to say this copy is back out in the world!
+1 to index cards
I also tend to bring some kind of tokens (beads, stones, etc) - 10 each of 2 different colours. And a couple of unique character/first player/current active player markers; these are currently small rubber duck toys I picked up at a craft store.
Hey! I tuned in for a bit but my Twitch account was being wonky (I almost never use it) so I couldn’t see the donate button - only the option to subscribe to the channel. If there’s an external link for donations, I’d love to make one.
Gavin DeGraw was playing while I was in line at the post office, so of course that activated some One Tree Hill nostalgia for me.
I don’t think I originally made it past the second season, but definitely brings back university-era Kat for a bit.
Watched it yesterday and agree 💯
