Unfortunately I think you need at minimum version 4 or later for most modern methods to reliably function, especially the install script that just makes it a single terminal prompt and some confirmations to do the whole process automatically

Ever since that new install script was thrown up that fixed timelapses and animation export even it really is a sometimes quirky but totally functional experience running CSP on most up to date distros and desktop environments

I've been using CSP on Linux for months via the Wine Bottles method that's been around for a long while and the only issue I ever ran into was not being able to export timelapses

Being able to do firmware/BIOS updates directly from the terminal rather than having to find and set up a USB stick to do it the traditional way rules

I'm currently running Mint on a t460s thinkpad with 8gb of ram which is a 10 year old laptop you can find on ebay for like $60

Runs like a dream if all you're doing is watching youtube/jellyfin and running discord behind it
