Not to be a pest, but if you look at the oak leaf insignias on the collar, you we’ll discover that Robert Duvall is a major or lieutenant colonel in the picture. Is hard to tell in a black and white picture, but I would guess it’s a silver insignia…which would be 0-5, lieutenant colonel, marines.
