I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.
“A Guatemalan man has become the first person to die in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at the Fort Bliss army base in Texas. His wife of 25 years was deported from the same camp without a chance to see her dying husband.” www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...
thank you for sharing this out & for your support!

where to go we certainly didn’t.
all we knew was the Old Order
was on its way out, finally the triumph
from a generation’s long struggle, so sweet,
even the trees seemed to be shouting with us."

i have a new essay out! "On Rivers, the Presidency, & Our Collective Agency." you can find it here: bit.ly/OnRivers. this piece reflects on speaking with nature & how the natural world, older than time, can guide us in the turmoil of the current administration. part of dandeliontalks.substack.com.
i made a substack! i'm intending for this to be a space to share my thoughts on arts, healing, & the current political moment. & to return to writing freely without considering anything related to the industry of it. also calling it my grown-up tumblr. find me here: dandeliontalks.substack.com ❤️
thank you so much! the intersections of art & healing mean a lot to me too
