2/2…We also did a comparative essay on two texts of our choosing and I picked Engleby (Sebastian Faulks) and The History Boys (Alan Bennett) .

My stand out favourites were probably Chaucer, The History Boys, The Crucible & Macbeth. The only one I don’t remember being very keen on was Spies!

UK circa 2007-2009 (GCSE & A-level) we had: selected poems of Seamus Heaney & Gillan Clarke, Spies by Michael Frayn, Death of a Salesman, The Crucible, The Tempest, A Winter’s Tale, Macbeth, Chaucer’s A Miller’s Tale and assorted literature from WW1 (poems, short stories and novels)…1/2
