Thanks! We are too. We don’t mess around with eyes and especially hay pokes. I was sure that I got it all out but I was concerned about a corneal scratch, so off to the vet, but she was fine. Some drops to prevent infection. She’s doing well.

White and brown Guinea pig getting eye checked at vet

A couple of medical issues recently at Our Pack, Inc. Rescue.
Rosie got a piece of hay stuck in her eye! Took her to the vet. Cornea is ok!
She came back with some antibiotic drops.

Brown rabbit in litter box

Brown rabbit in litter box

Fun fact:
Rabbits love to use litter boxes. They are actually easier to litter train than some cats!
We put litter in the bottom of a large litter pan and hay on top. They eat and go all in the box.
You may find some stray poops here and there but if they are spayed/neutered it super easy!

White bunny.

White bunny.

Reminder that bunnies are not Easter presents but live, feeling beings, that need love, attention, and lots of space to run and jump. Indoor life protects them from predators, disease, loneliness, and best of all, keeps them close to your heart as family.

Sorry I didn’t make that part clear. I can see where it might sound that way. And you don’t want to see piggies broken up! ❤️🙂

Our Pack Bunny Education & Rescue

Didn’t give her away. We rescue and adopt out GPs and rabbits. Hazel was very aggressive with him and I felt there could be an injury. We would never break up a bonded pair. They fought then we separated for safety.

If you remember, we were bonding Hazel and Hubble but they broke up. In fact, Hazel seemed to be telling us she’s not keen on other piggies.
A very lovely family that had lost their long time pig came to meet Hazel and fell in love.
Hazel has a home! Join us in congratulating Hazel and family! ❤️

We had that happen too. It’s depends on technique and who is doing the surgery. The scrotal neuters are the ones they used to do now they do abdominal neuters preventing infection. Girls have ovaries removed not uterus which is safe preventing cysts. We have a vet that has seen exotics for

Hazel and Hubble causing trouble.
Hazel is spayed female and Hubble is a neutered male.
No babies in rescue! And, there are some health benefits to S/N as well.
Their bond seems to be going well!

Hazel is a spayed girl and Hubble the white one is a neutered male. We don’t want babies in rescue but also there are health benefits to both. I think it makes the bonding easier too just as it does with rabbits.

Excuse the mess! Bonding session with Hazel and Hubble! Wish us luck! We’d love to see them adopted as a pair.
