Alas, not *everything* Trump touches dies, or at any rate not quickly enough. Trump's crime enterprises are highly profitable and show no sign of collapsing.
With Orban gone the EU has now approved the 90 billion Euro loan to Ukraine and another package of sanctions on Russia. V good news.
Screenshot of a tweet by Pop Base (@PopBase) reporting that The Onion has successfully acquired Alex Jones' Infowars after 17 months of legal battles, with plans to turn it into a parody of itself with support from Sandy Hook families. The post includes a photo of a visibly distressed Alex Jones and the new rainbow-colored Infowars logo.
Karma is a betch, Alex Jones.
15% of fossil fuels extracted each year are used to make fertiliser, run farms, process foods and transport them. In a very real sense our food is made from oil and gas.

1/ Ukraine's success this year in stalling Russia's offensive, and driving Russian forces back in some places, has prompted increasingly bleak assessments from Russian warbloggers. In a lengthy series of posts, Yuri Kotenok warns that Russia's war effort is faltering badly. ⬇️
Her office said the Office for Students (OfS), which regulates universities, had received reports of speakers and lecturers being harassed and blocked for holding gender-critical or religious views, of foreign interference suppressing academic freedoms, and of ideological belief requirements featuring in job advertisements.
The OfS will be able to use the new complaints scheme from September. From April, it will be able to fine universities the greater of £500,000 or 2 per cent of their income, which would amount to millions of pounds for large institutions, for breaches under the Freedom of Speech Act. Ultimately, universities could be deregistered for egregious cases.
Bridget Phillipson will introduce new laws to make it possible for Universities to be fined millions of pounds if they don't silence students who protest bigots invited onto their campuses. It's like the Tories never left office.
