Instacart is a dumpster fire. Their iOS app is probably the worst app ever built by a big company whose business depends on people using their app. They are around because there’s no decent competition.

This is by far the most practical model for quick inference on low end CPUs. Perfect for things like transcribing bots, voice-driven UIs, and so forth.

Punxsutawney Phil Sees His Shadow, Leaving U.S. in the Cold The supposedly meteorologically gifted rodent saw his shadow, suggesting several more weeks of winter. (Forecasters agreed, at least for this week.)

After a brutal stretch of winter weather in many parts of the U.S., especially the East Coast, there was an eagerness on Monday to grab on to any sign of hope for warmth. Punxsutawney Phil did not oblige.

Brilliant idea

It’s the unfortunate culture of the Web platform (which has infected iOS.) Avoiding the web whenever I can. Feels like a dead end these days if you want to enjoy the process of making software

It’s been a year and I use them but I have absolutely no idea what a passkey is. Half the time login fails with them and I have to do something else that works (like a password). I refuse to understand more. I’m tired of computers and don’t care. This is what it’s like for every non-nerd, isn’t it?

That’s right, and I’m a European citizen :•)
