Exactly! The party expected to bring him back and for her to be grateful, but instead she's crushed, and feeling almost guilty for being mad at her only family before he found that fate, gives the information in a far more melancholy fashion, in the hopes the party can stop the boss. Good scene.

Yup! That's pretty close to how I used her when I did my campaign. She had some info that the party needed in order to figure out where in a massive cave system the boss was, and did ask them to find and drag back her son. Shame said son was already petrified by said boss.
