it doesnt make sense for every game but it has a ton of advantages. less visual clutter, promotes consistency and good faith play, enables memorable moments like dr kahl phase 1, ect

im surprised i havent seen more games do the cuphead thing of only showing the boss health bar on the death screen, i always thought that was one of the games best and most invigorating ideas
