Just an iPhone video of the Earth setting behind the Moon 🥹 (I hope this link works; instagram links seem to be very finicky. Probably best to open it in a browser rather than the app) www.instagram.com/reel/DXVMcEq...

"irreversible side effects of HRT" all of life is irreversible. i cannot go back a single second in time
You probably won't get any of those things from the live stream, but you will get great talks. The next one starts in 9 minutes: deepdishswift.com/stream
It's the last day of #deepDishSwift, and thanks to tips, encouragement, and having some downtime where this was the logical thing to work on, I've released an update to Seddit which doesn't crash on launch (it's a low bar 😆) and I think the iCloud synching works now. apps.apple.com/us/app/seddi...
🤔 If I had an idea for a talk, I could theme it for #deepDishSwift by mentioning the common practice of putting canned spaghetti on homemade pizzas in NZ, and relating it to spaghetti code. And the pizza theming is the most important thing about a Deep Dish talk, so I’m 80% of the way there…

Just saw Hoppers, and I don’t think it’s much of a spoiler to say that I particularly enjoyed seeing ‘For the Birds’-style birds in some crowd scenes, hearing the kid behind us say, ‘yay! The fire goed away!’ and seeing Production Kits in the credits instead of Production Babies.
Ok now those Artemis II astronauts are really over the Moon!
Screenshot of nasa video feed. Orion capsule, The Moon, Earth. All in one view.
Wow. Live video from the far side of The Moon, as The Earth sets.

Anyway, iPhone users are over the Moon.
People have gone farther from Earth than they’d ever been before, and they took their iPhones with them. I can see this being a plus both for people who like iPhones and for people who really dislike them and want them as far away as possible. 😄
Once again, spaceflight brings us together.
I wonder how rare Te Reo Māori is in having a common word that literally translates to ‘water of life’ that actually means water and not some form of alcohol.
Also, it’s a long movie and getting a drink was a bad idea. But I’ve read the book so didn’t miss anything too critical while peeing.
Just saw Project Hail Mary, and I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say I wasn’t expecting to hear Pō Atarau.
You’d be right at home smashing a marmite de l’Escalade in Geneva!
I, on the other hand, have been to the Canada in Switzerland. I think it was the terminus of the 52 bus line in Geneva, but apparently now the 73 and 83 go there.
Bio I read in a dream while looking for someone to repair my leather jacket:
[name] is a failed therapist and good human who “necessarily got into the business of doing things with lunches”
(Quotation marks theirs; the whole thing is a quote from the bio)
I don’t know why I find this charming.
A Golden Apple Anniversary
I lost my gold Apple pendant after 25 years, then found it again after 49 days in a parking lot.
HERE WE GO!

CERN levels up with new superconducting karts 🏎️
The race is on to test new vehicles in the underground Large Hadron Collider tunnel, ahead of major works starting this summer.
Find out more about the new superconducting karts: home.cern/news/news/en...
Looks like there is some weather (showers and such) but NASA commentator Derrol Nail is saying it should clear as we approach the launch window
Me smiling slightly wearing a T-shirt that says ‘1954 CERN 2004’ with the CERN 50th anniversary logo (50 where the 0 looks like an accelerator complex) and a design featuring fireworks and particle tracks. I’m also wearing a gold chain with two different gold Apple logo pendants.
Today is Apple’s 50th anniversary, but it’s also April Fools Day, so I’m wearing a T-shirt that commemorates the 50th anniversary of CERN.
I mention this here because I doubt anyone will notice in real life. 😄
I just got four credit card offers in the mail, all from the same company but addressed to two different versions of my name. I’ll have to check whether this means I have a credit score now. 😃
Yeah, I just meant that they were new, not that they were Paul and Storm songs.
Well, I, for one, have sewn some special panties for their same old jokes. 😤 I think some of the songs Storm did solo a couple of years ago were new (not on the Sidecar Astronauts album)
Burn! Have Paul and Storm not? I didn’t even notice.
They’re quite similar to Paul and Storm live! They do actions and harmonies, and make the audience go arrr!
