And this is the camera app I use https://www.nofusion.app/en/ The default Apple camera app has gotten so poor and aggressive with its tunings that my 17 Pro is the first I wanted to stop using it entirely I’ll take an example in a few minutes of default ios cam and default no fusion to explain, but essentially the default camera app tries to compensate a lot of different aspects of color, tones, focus, exposure, etc, for people who can’t take photos and just want “good enough” And its always done this to a degree but now I feel like pictures I can on default look nothing like my perception of it irl. I used to just use default app with system settings tweaked and take it to another app for editing. Now I just don’t touch it

So the left is default iOS camera app, no changes. On the right is default nofusion, no changes the only change I would have made here normally on nofusion is to just +1 the exposure to compensate a little but this was the bedroom just now with the curtains closed But you can see how the iOS camera just OBLITERATES the shadow profile. It fookn hates any differences in light or contrast and just wants to blow everything up and wash all the colors neutral. Meanwhile nofusion still retains a lot of the natural colors, especially in the depth and contrast. If I wants to just do a simple edit to share with my parents or text to mana real quick, it'd just be a slight boost of the exposure and saturation and I'm done. That iOS shot I have to take it to another app and apply filters, all that stuff just to make it feel acceptable
