Similarly, when care providers were asked about the main difficulty finding new staff, roughly three-in-ten (28 per cent) responded better pay offers outside care (the right-hand panel).
What is contributing to the staffing crisis in adult social care? Social care providers say the main cause is better pay elsewhere.
