I rounded off the day around Leeds with a beer at The Bankers Cat ( @thornbridge.bsky.social Red Mountain); and another stop at @duckanddrakr on the way home, for a @roostersbrewco.bsky.social Yankee.

After an amazing dinner at Tharavadu Restaurant we stopped for a beer next door at Bundobust. I had a cracking West Coast Rye IPA (a collab with @verdantbrew.bsky.social).
Next is the “Scabby Tap” - The Scarborough Hotel - for @abbeydalebeers.bsky.social Moonshine; then Brewery Tap where I’ve gone for a Wilde Child Gimme S’more.
Next up is The Hop for some @ossettbrewery beers, the first is a lovey Westie brewed in collaboration with @azvexbrewing.bsky.social; then an American Pale.
Post football, and first stop is The Grove Inn, for a @timothytaylors.bsky.social Boltmaker.
Prior to a “beer break” (going to the footie), we had a quick beer at Whitelocks. I always enjoy visiting this great pub every time I come to Leeds. The beer was a gorgeous Mild from @idealdaybrewery.bsky.social.
First beers of the day at the Duck and Drake, then at the Pack Horse.

I’m at the Leeds Irish Centre for a friend’s party, and there’s not much in the way of good beers. I’ve gone for a Guinness, as it’s bound to be good here, and tried to split the G! How did I do??
Now we’re at @NorthernGuitars and I’ve got an @anthologybrewco beers. Very good!! Live music about to start too. Whats not to love?!
On to @TalkingTides where I’ve had a lovely IPA - Sumo!
Next stop is @TheTetleyPub for a great @kirkstallbrew cask beer. A pub with great history. Didn’t have a Tetley’s as, apparently, it’s brewed by Carlsberg!
Had that. It’s goooooooooid!
After sitting down with Marcos from @piglove_brewing, we went to their taproom - Piglove by the River - for a tasting of 7 of their beers (plus a guest cider!). Very impressed. All lovely - especially the Nitro Stout.
Very much enjoyed my chat with Marcos of @piglove_brewing for the next episode. Had a can of Tëpë, their lovely Westie, as we chatted.
Had that in the Coach and Horses the other day. Lovely!
I’m Leeds bound! Looking forward to a weekend of cracking beer, starting with a visit to @piglove_brewing.
Two beers tonight that I’ve also had in recent days.
- Mama from Supercute, a great session pale which I also enjoyed at their taproom when I recorded the podcast last Saturday.
- Fresh Squeezed, a great Westie from @deschutesbrewery.bsky.social which I enjoyed at Beer Merchants Tap yesterday.
I know!! I jumped at the chance to have both!!
It’s either the Verisure alarm or the 750ml bottle of Imperial Stout that made her sleep. Not sure which 😁
It’s a fantastic pub 👍
Yeah, I only stayed for one. There were other decent beers, but nothing else I was excited about.
The latest episode of Beer Prime is out now! It features Hammant from Supercute Brewhouse in Brixton, London. Have a listen wherever you get your podcasts, or here —>

Obviously you need a Verisure alarm. It helps you to sleep peacefully!
(I am in no way affiliated with Verisure 😂)
Now on to the Coach and Horses, a Fullers pub but with a great selection of beers. I’ve gone West Coast for both - one from Sureshot and the other from Burnt Mill. Delicious!
Moving away from the calm and quiet of East London, into the chaos of the West End, and another pub to tick off is The Lyric. Nice and busy, and good to see a @thornbridge.bsky.social Union beer on - American Brown Ale, brewed with @trackbrewingco.bsky.social. Tasting great!
My first time visiting Beer Merchants Tap and I don’t know why it’s taken me so long! Great selection on tap and in fridges. I went American with @deschutesbrewery.bsky.social and Revolution Brewing (stunning beers). Almost expected to see @craftbeerchannel.bsky.social recording a vid, but alas no 😁
This evening’s cinema beer was Crybaby from Supercute. Lovely hazy!
My chat with Hammant at Supercute was accompanied by several great beers - Mama Session IPA, Hehe lite lager, No Body Loves You Stout, and Kissy Kissy Cherry Sour.

Today I was in Brixton to visit Supercute Brewhouse to record the next episode. I had an interesting chat with owner Hammant, which you can hear on Wednesday.

Next up at Hop Stop was a cracking strawberry sour from Vault City, before finishing on a dark beer - Anspach & Hobday London Black.
