Illustration: a black cat with white paws wearing a wizard hat sits behind the table of a market stall bearing a faux-scroll sign that reads “SPELLS AND HEXES”. On the table are four potion bottles of varying size, a human skull, wand and a candle in a wooden holder. A sign reads “objects cursed while u wait”. Several stick effigies hang from the sign. A snake is climbing up one of the sign supports.

A photo of Earth taken by the crew of Artemis II.

Born in fire, battered by the wreckage of colliding worlds, covered for eons in magma, wracked by volcanoes, frozen and thawed again and again, and after everything went just wrong and right enough, here it is: our home. The rarest gift in the known universe.

Happy Earth Day.

On this day, 28 years ago, Disney’s Animal Kingdom welcomed guests into the park for the first time.

Happy 28th birthday to the wildest park at Walt Disney World and remember, Nâhtâzū!

I thought this felt relatable

Went and picked up a package today and whilst I was waiting to use the InPost Lockers, there was a lady trying to scan an Evri package and wondering why it wasn’t working. 🙈

Supporting indie bookstores isn’t just about where you buy your books—it’s about keeping money in your community.

Community is more important now than ever before, and indie bookstores have proven at every turn that they will protect, defend, & care for their community members without hesitation.

I am definitely behind on the MCU. I know there’s stuff I’ve not watched yet. I think mostly Disney+ stuff but these days it’s like you have to see everything to get it. You can’t just go enjoy the movie.

So Disney fired a bunch of PRs from home media basically consolidating all their PR into the theatrical team and this is how we’re promoting movies now?

You must see our old movie which we added new stuff too before you see the new movie. No thank you. It’s hard enough keeping up with MCU.

Cheers! Looks the author doesn’t even get much info on the international but he says it should be released internationally so I guess gotta keep my eye on it and see if anything pops up for us.

Thank you! I’ll keep an eye on it. My favourite indie has been able to get your stuff before but so far nothing about the UK that they know so far.

Maybe not so far there….

Just had a look and seems like it’s been pulled in the UK as well. Quick search shows it’s not on HBO Max or anywhere else here.

Damn, I didn’t know the documentary managed to get pulled by the estate. Some crazy shit going on! I’m glad I saw it and I believe everything in it.

Someone in my family went to prison for supposedly taking photographs of people in changing rooms. All these smart glasses just make this shit easier and I bet none of wearers will be prosecuted and neither will the makers. But my family member was.

A tightly cropped Hubble view of a vast star-forming region known as the Trifid Nebula. The top left is bright blue. Brown and amber colors run from top right through the center in irregular, overlapping lines to the bottom-center. At bottom right, the view is almost black. Tiny, amber-colored stars appear throughout the scene. Toward the left there is a prominent brown shape that looks like a head with two horns. The left horn points left and is wavy. The right horn is triangular and points up. The brown dust continues, flowing down, as if along a back, and up toward the top right. A prominent line, about the same length as the left horn, appears below the middle of the body, and changes from orange to red. A small, separate semi-transparent pillar is left of the head. A few slightly larger, blue foreground stars with four diffraction spikes appear sprinkled throughout.

Hubble marks its 36th anniversary with a shimmering close-up of star-formation in the Trifid Nebula! Tiny, actively forming stars are eating and spewing material all around. (One at top left in brown, and two fiery red jets.) Explore it all: https://news.stsci.edu/4cvi5jL

Illustration: a black cat sits on a mantel above a fireplace, pushing a small vase off. Before him is a scene of absolute carnage which he clearly caused. A flat screen tv lies screen down on the floor. There is a smashed vase with scattered flowers. A lacerated cushion with its stuffing spilling out. An upturned footstool. Smashed picture frames. Caption reads “cataclysm”

Thinking about that time in Japan, when Nintendo was undergoing hard times, its CEO took a pay cut himself rather than layoff the companies' talented workers. That's some exceptionalism I can get behind.
